What is sales performance consulting?

Sales performance consulting is a service provided by experts who help organizations improve their sales effectiveness and achieve better results. Consultants analyze existing sales processes, identify areas for improvement, and recommend strategies such as training, process optimization, and technology integration. Their goal is to increase sales productivity, enhance team performance, and drive revenue growth. They may also assist with change management and the implementation of best practices across the sales organization.

Sales Performance Consultants often encounter challenges such as resistance to change from sales teams, aligning diverse stakeholder expectations, and accurately measuring the impact of their recommendations. Overcoming these obstacles typically involves strong communication skills, fostering trust through transparency, and using data-driven insights to demonstrate value. Collaborating closely with sales leaders and regularly providing actionable feedback can help ensure successful implementation of new strategies and sustained performance improvements.

This is an exciting leadership opportunity for someone who combines strong commercial acumen with a passion for coaching, developing people, and creating a culture of accountability and excellence.

Reporting to the US Managing Director, you will be responsible for leading our US sales team through our Sales Team Leaders to deliver sustainable growth across bookings, profitability, conversion, productivity, and customer experience. You'll turn commercial strategy into action, ensuring the team has clear direction, strong leadership, and the support needed to achieve outstanding results.

What You Will be Doing:

  • Lead US sales performance across all customer segments, delivering targets across bookings, profit, margins, conversion, productivity, and customer satisfaction.

  • Develop and execute the annual US sales strategy, translating company objectives into a practical growth plan for the US market.

  • Coach, develop, and lead Sales Team Leaders, creating a high-performing, accountable, and customer-focused sales culture.

  • Own forecasting, capacity planning, reporting, and performance analysis, identifying opportunities and risks early.

  • Partner with Product, Marketing, Finance, Operations, and POD to align sales delivery with wider business goals.

  • Drive continuous improvement across sales processes, customer experience, CRM utilization, and team effectiveness.

  • Lead recruitment, onboarding, talent development, and succession planning within the sales function.

  • Champion change initiatives, embedding new ways of working and supporting the continued growth of the branch.

What We Are Looking for From You:

  • Significant experience leading consultative sales teams through managers or team leaders.

  • A proven track record of delivering commercial results and building high-performing sales cultures.

  • Strong experience with forecasting, sales planning, budgeting, performance management, and capacity planning.

  • Demonstrated ability to coach and develop leaders, strengthening capability and accountability across teams.

  • Confidence using data and insight to identify trends, make decisions, and improve business performance.

  • Experience driving operational and process improvements in a growing sales environment.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience influencing senior leaders.

  • A collaborative leadership style that balances commercial success with exceptional customer outcomes.

Beneficial Experience

  • Travel, hospitality, luxury, experience-led, or other high-consideration sales environments.

  • Multi-site, international, or matrixed organizations.

  • CRM and sales analytics tools such as Power BI.

  • Leading organizational change, sales transformation, or operating model improvements.

  • Designing onboarding, coaching, or leadership development programs.

You don't need to meet every requirement. If you're motivated by building successful teams, developing leaders, and delivering outstanding commercial results, we'd love to hear from you.

What You Get in Return:

  • Bonus scheme with quarterly and annual elements linked to branch sales performance (OTE $15,000 per year).

  • Hybrid working arrangements.

  • 20 days annual leave (rising to 23 days after 3 years) plus 13 paid public holidays.

  • Additional day off on your birthday.

  • Volunteering leave.

  • 100% medical, dental, and vision insurance premiums covered for employees.

  • Healthcare and dependent care flexible spending accounts.

  • 401(k) with up to 3.5% company match.

  • Discounted travel for staff, family, and friends.
