Logistics Coordinator

JOB PURPOSE

The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for providing leadership of the logistics coordination team, in processing customer orders, ensuring that products are supplied on time and error free. The position establishes and executes customer interaction policies and practices to ensure that all parties on the supply chain process are informed, from origin to the customer's receiving location. Responsibilities include directing coordinators on solving problems with customers, carriers and other support personnel, and maintaining compliance.

TASK DESCRIPTION

1 Order Processing & Fulfillment

- Delegating and directing the processing of sales orders received from customers, including the preparation of invoices, packing lists and shipping documents.

- Planning and prioritizing order fulfillment with the warehouse support team.

- Overseeing sales order process of non-stocked products between customers and third-party vendors.

2 Shipping & Regulatory Compliance

- Coordinating the execution of services with logistics partners for outgoing customer shipments (FCL, LTL, FTL, LTL, local).

- Overseeing preparation of all shipping and hazmat documents (AWB, SLI, B/L, Cargo Details, Declarations, Dangerous Goods Forms) in compliance with company and regulatory requirements.

- Preparing and making AES Electronic Export Information filings.

- Preparing freight cost analysis.

3 Supply Chain Coordination & Issue Resolution

- Coordinating communication and resolution of known stock issues, with Inventory Control team.

- Directing resolutions on transportation issues, handling discrepancies, and communicating to customers, and following-up to ensure problems are resolved.

4 Administration & Support

- Monitoring customer credit levels and supporting the collection of receivables in connection with the fulfillment of sales orders and customer requests.

- Documenting and training processes and protocols for overall logistics and customer service functions.

- Performing other tasks as assigned by Manager.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Preferred degree includes a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration.
  • Knowledge of Hazardous Materials cargo, Hazardous Materials Certifications.
  • 2-3 years of similar experience handling FCL & LCL shipments, bookings, AES filings.
  • Strong technical skills: Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Experience with ERP and Logistics systems.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Exceptional customer service orientation.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle high volume and meet deadlines.
