Job description

 

The Position 

The Sales Operations Specialist plays a key role within our Sales Operations team, supporting the continued growth of the geotechnical solutions portfolio by translating strategic objectives into effective operational execution. This role provides analytical support, manages sales tools and systems, develops dashboards and reports, monitors performance metrics, and ensures sales processes remain streamlined, scalable, and aligned with business priorities

The role also supports the Sales organization by providing guidance on internal policies, procedures, and governance requirements, while driving operational efficiency and reducing administrative burden. By enabling sales productivity and supporting effective commercial execution, this position allows Sales teams to focus on revenue-generating activities and customer engagement.

Success in this role requires strong organizational, prioritization, and multitasking skills, as well as the ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment and align execution with evolving business priorities.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to: 

       Own and oversee CRM (Salesforce) data integrity, ensuring high standards of data quality, governance, compliance, and effective management of leads, accounts, opportunities, and sales activities across the region.

       Drive sales pipeline management coordinating and supporting end-to-end sales transactions for the global geotechnical solutions portfolio, ensuring visibility, pipeline cleanliness, forecast accuracy, timely renewals, and strong overall performance.

       Define, monitor, and analyze Sales KPIs through dashboards, reports, performance metrics, and ad hoc analysis, delivering actionable insights related to win/loss performance, deal velocity, conversion rates, sales productivity, and revenue objectives.

       Partner closely with Global Sales Operations, Seequent Information Services, Commercial teams, and Sales stakeholders to analyze, document, optimize, and continuously improve sales processes and workflows.

       Act as the geotechnical portfolio champion for sales tools and processes, leading adoption, change management, and best-practice implementation.

       Provide strategic guidance and operational support to Sales teams, focusing on opportunity management, pipeline health, and successful deal closure.

Collaborate closely with Sales stakeholders to manage leads, accounts, and opportunities in Salesforce, ensuring efficient execution and a seamless sales process.

To be successful in this role, you should have: 

       Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales operations, sales support, administration, or finance.

       Strong data analysis skills with experience interpreting data, identifying trends, and providing insights to support business decision-making.

       Proven experience with CRM systems, Salesforce, Excel, and Power BI.

       Strong attention to detail and a commitment to following established processes, procedures, and governance requirements.

       Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.

       Highly organized and adaptable, with the ability to multitask, prioritize competing demands, respond quickly, and perform effectively in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment.

       Customer-focused, friendly, persistent, patient, innovative, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Additional Information

This is a hybrid role based in our Calgary office, with an expectation of working three days per week in the office and two days remotely.
