Responsibilities / Position overview

We are seeking a commercially minded Director, Sales Operations (internally known as  ("FP&A Commercial & Operations Director") to play a pivotal role in driving the performance of our global Commercial and Marketing functions. Reporting to the CFO/COO, you'll combine financial insight, commercial analytics, and operational excellence to provide leadership with the data and processes needed to accelerate growth and improve decision-making.

In this role, you will:

  • Develop and own Lumanity's commercial reporting framework, delivering meaningful insights into sales performance, pipeline health, forecasting, and business growth.
  • Create executive dashboards and performance metrics that enable timely, data-driven decision-making across Commercial, Marketing, Finance, and Executive Leadership.
  • Monitor key commercial KPIs, including pipeline conversion, sales performance, lead generation, client acquisition, win rates, and revenue trends.
  • Build and continuously improve commercial operating processes, ensuring consistent CRM governance, pipeline integrity, and high-quality commercial data.
  • Partner with Commercial, Marketing, and Finance leaders to optimize forecasting, revenue planning, and order management processes.
  • Develop methodologies to measure the effectiveness and return on investment of marketing and business development initiatives.
  • Identify commercial risks, trends, and opportunities through proactive analysis and exception reporting.
  • Support the design, tracking, and reporting of sales incentive programs and performance against business targets.
  • Drive continuous improvement by implementing scalable reporting, governance, and operational best practices.
Qualifications

We're looking for a commercially minded finance leader who thrives on turning complex data into strategic insight and building the operational foundations that enable business growth. Additionally, you will need:

  • 8-12+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, commercial finance, business operations, or a related discipline, with significant experience supporting a professional services or consulting organization.
  • Proven success partnering with Commercial, Sales, and Marketing leaders to improve performance, forecasting, and business decision-making.
  • Deep understanding of sales pipeline management, CRM reporting, and commercial metrics, with experience using platforms such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar CRM systems.
  • Experience designing and implementing commercial reporting frameworks, governance, and operational processes from the ground up.
  • Exceptional analytical, financial modeling, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex datasets into clear, actionable insights.
  • Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience presenting findings and recommendations to executive leadership.
  • A self-starter mindset with the ability to operate independently, drive continuous improvement, and build structure within a fast-paced, evolving environment.
