Position Summary

Illumina's USCAN Sales Operations team is looking for a strong operations business partner to join as a Sr. Sales Operations Analyst. This role is expected to drive sales standardization and continuous improvement in systems, processes, and business operations to achieve commercial sales objectives. Highlighted responsibilities of this role include executing the sales teams' vision through quota, territory, pipeline, and account management.

The ideal candidate is an experienced data-driven decision maker and a confident communicator. Success on this fast-paced team will rely on experience with problem solving skills, critical thinking, attention to detail, the ability to work under pressure, and most importantly, an inquisitive flexible mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Build relationships and act as a main point of contact to General Manager for a subregional team including district manager and several frontline teams.

  • Develop deep business understanding and strategy around sales reporting, quota setting, territory design and sales process optimization

  • Facilitate pipeline review meetings with Sales Management to define optimal performance for sales teams

  • Prepare advanced pipeline analyses to help identify and communicate trends and drivers to the business.

  • Proactively identify and develop opportunities for sales process improvement.

  • Advise sales management on how to best leverage reporting to drive actionable insights.

  • Participate in regional and global projects relating to process improvement and/or system implementation and seen as subject matter expert

  • Drive adoption of commercial resources through end user education, training, and on-boarding.

  • Proactively communicate best practices, change notices, and announcements to the sales staff and sales leadership.

Required Experience

  • Experience in Commercial Operations, Sales Operations, logistics, FP&A or a related commercial role

  • Proven strong analytical, organizational, problem solving, critical thinking, and project management skills.

  • Proficiency in managing analytically rigorous initiatives. Excellent Excel modeling skills (e.g. Power Query, Pivot, Advanced formulas, Large data models)

  • Adept and clear communicator of complex concepts through written and verbal means.

  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across departments.

  • Adaptable to fast-paced settings, capable of managing multiple tasks and driving innovation.

  • Skilled at presenting initiatives and solutions to diverse audiences, with the ability to influence and solve complex problems.

  • Experience working with Salesforce.com and IBM Planning Analytics is a plus

  • Background supporting various business partners with a focus on analytics and/or operational excellence.

  • Ability to effectively lead, plan and execute on plans for process improvement.

  • Ability to evaluate solutions from both a near term and long-term perspective.

Education Requirements

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years of related experience; or 3 years and a Master's degree; or equivalent work experience.

The estimated base salary range for the Sr. Sales Operations Analyst role based in the United States of America is: $90,000 - $135,000. Should the level or location of the role change during the hiring process, the applicable base pay range may be updated accordingly. The range reflects longterm growth in the role; therefore, most candidates are hired between the minimum and middle of the range. Placement depends on experience, skills, location, and internal equity. Additionally, all employees are eligible for one of our variable cash programs (bonus or commission) and eligible roles may receive equity as part of the compensation package.
