What does a sales no license required job involve?

A Sales No License Required job typically involves selling products or services that do not require the salesperson to hold a specific professional license, such as insurance or real estate licenses. Duties may include reaching out to potential customers, demonstrating products, closing sales, and maintaining customer relationships. These roles are common in industries like retail, technology, and some business-to-business (B2B) sectors. No formal licensing means that training is often provided on the job, making these roles accessible to individuals new to sales.

What are common challenges faced in sales roles that do not require a professional license?

In sales positions that do not require a license, a common challenge is building credibility and trust with clients, as you may compete with more established or credentialed professionals. You’ll also need to quickly learn product knowledge and adapt to fast-changing sales targets. Additionally, these roles often involve high call volumes, prospecting, and performance-based metrics, making strong communication and resilience essential. Collaboration with marketing or customer service teams is frequent, as you work together to close deals and ensure customer satisfaction.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a sales associate with no license required, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Sales Associate with no license required, you need strong interpersonal skills, a basic understanding of sales techniques, and a high school diploma or equivalent. Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems, customer relationship management (CRM) software, and inventory tracking tools is often important. Exceptional communication, resilience, and active listening help you build rapport with customers and handle objections effectively. These skills ensure you can drive sales, deliver excellent customer service, and contribute to overall business growth.

Job description

Outside Sales Representative – Estate Planning (Commission Only) | Legacy Assurance Plan
Location: Protected territory up to 100 miles of your location

Compensation: $750 commission per sale, paid weekly, plus weekly and monthly production bonuses. This is a 1099 independent contractor role — there is no base salary or guaranteed income. Your skills and work ethic determine your income.

Legacy Assurance Plan provides estate planning membership plans — wills, trusts, and power of attorney documents — to families across [state]. We're hiring an outside sales representative to meet with warm, pre-qualified leads in their homes and guide them through enrollment.

What you'll do

  • Meet with warm, pre-qualified families in your assigned territory — no cold calling, no self-generated leads
  • Present and explain our estate planning membership plan, answer questions, and close enrollments
  • Manage your pipeline and follow-ups in our CRM
  • Run your own schedule within your protected territory

Compensation & structure

  • $750 commission per sale, paid weekly — no base salary
  • Weekly and monthly production bonuses on top of per-sale commission
  • Company-sponsored incentive trips for top performers
  • All leads provided at no cost to you — no lead fees, no purchased lists

What you bring

  • 3+ years of outside, in-home, or direct-to-consumer sales experience
  • A documented record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Comfort using a CRM to manage a pipeline
  • Reliable personal transportation for daily in-home visits
  • Must currently reside in [state]

Good fit if: you're comfortable with 100% commission pay, prefer daily field work over office/B2B selling, and want a protected territory with company-provided leads.
Not a fit if: you need guaranteed base income or prefer inbound/office-based sales.

No license required — this is not an insurance product; we provide full product training. Apply with your current resume; qualified candidates are typically contacted within 48 hours.
