Job description

Scope of Job:
This position provides general support for a variety of Sales/Marketing functions throughout the company. Responsibilities include assisting with mailings, correspondence, email marketing, and public relations events/activities, as well as serving as primary administrative support for the Department.
Primary Duties:
Assists in coordinating community projects and events such as customer appreciation events, seminars, parades and sponsored activities.
Researches, orders and tracks company promotional items and giveaways. Fulfills promotional item and sales collateral requests for all departments and branches.
Uses various software programs (including, but not limited to Word and Excel) to format and edit lists for direct contact campaigns. Works with postal providers and/or printers to apply postage and deliver materials to target households.
Creates copy/content for communications tools including, but not limited to letters, press releases, articles, directory advertising, websites and general promotions.
Assists in creating and monitoring posts and messages for social media and eBlasts, serving as back up to the Sales/Marketing Channel Manager.
Assists in gathering, prioritizing, and tracking ongoing marketing needs for BankWest divisions and lines of business.
Routes incoming mail; codes Department bills and routes them for approval and payment.
Schedules Marketing Committee meetings, distributes agendas and packets, and compiles and archives meeting minutes.
Provides ongoing monitoring, record keeping, and support for employee referral drawings, corporate donation requests, and BankWest trademark renewals.
Secondary Duties:
Work as a team with departmental counterparts on planning and implementing assigned projects and products.
Participate on various committees and project teams as deemed appropriate by management.
Attend, actively participate in organization, job specific training offered, and Quality Service programs.
Adhere to all applicable Policies and Procedures of BankWest organization.
Community involvement is strongly encouraged.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Education:
A Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
Experience:
2 years' experience in professional communications, graphic design, or media advertising is preferred.
Knowledge and Special Skills:
Ability to work dependently and/or independently, under pressure, meet deadlines, and adjust work schedules as needed to complete job responsibilities.
Ability to organize and handle multiple responsibilities while delivering quality external and/or internal Customer Service.
Strong interpersonal skills to ensure effective communication with external and/or internal customers.
Knowledge or ability to learn regulatory requirements pertinent to performance of specified duties in job description.
Knowledge of a variety of communication channels including digital, newspaper, radio, television, billboards, and email.
Ability to concept, develop and launch promotional campaigns via a variety of traditional and digital channels.
Knowledge of BankWest products and services.
Ability to skillfully use a variety of application software, learn computer programs, and comprehend the program output.
Adhere to Federal Privacy Standards in addition to following BankWest requirements for electronic communication and Social Engineering standards.
