Job description

POSITION: Sales & Marketing Assistant

DEPARTMENT: Sales and Marketing

REPORTS TO: Director of Sales & Marketing

FLSA STATUS: Hourly/Non-Exempt

Summary

Legends Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for a Sales & Marketing Assistant for Legends Global/Caesars Superdome | Smoothie King Center | Champions Square. Responsible for assisting the Sales and Marketing team in the promotion of the venues and all events at the Legends Managed Complex. This includes, but is not limited to, various administrative duties, social media, email marketing, and the creation of ads and venue collateral.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Track convention sales lead through the Convention Visitors Bureau Online Calendar System on a monthly basis and input as Sales Lead Opportunities into Legends Booking system when assigned by the Director of Sales & Marketing
  • Input all other incoming sales leads into the Legends Booking system when assigned by the Director of Sales and Marketing
  • Regularly researches Exhibitors in conjunction with convention calendar sales leads
  • Assist in writing copy for various marketing collateral, quarterly and annual reports, and E-newsletters
  • Marketing efforts could include but are not limited to, creation of sales collateral, presentations, direct mail, email campaigns, website updates, proofreading, advertising, and social media marketing
  • Routinely update and assist in the creation of sales PowerPoint proposals, presentations, and other related sales collateral
  • Regularly maintain competitive rates and contacts in the hospitality industry
  • Schedule monthly in-house training for Legend's catering and security partners
  • Assist in creating and implementing grassroots marketing to increase ticket sales for events at all venues
  • Assist with updating sales and marketing department calendars with upcoming ticketed events
  • Coordinate efforts and work with sales and marketing department to update all social media accounts, including Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram, both to promote events and inform the public of facility news
  • Assist with generating email marketing reports in Ticketmaster Engage
  • Assist with creating post-event marketing reports, monthly social media reports, and the monthly marketing plan for ticketed events
  • Assist with tracking traffic for all marketing campaigns and online assets in Ticketmaster One
  • Assist with generating Google Analytics reports for all facility websites and providing monthly reports
  • Assist with television monitoring of media coverage regarding our facilities and providing weekly reports
  • Assist with updating suite signage at the Smoothie King Center based upon current event schedule
  • Maintain stock on all venue promotional client gift items and printed sales collateral
  • Share in the responsibilities of coordinating and executing company hosted events
  • Prepare and submit expense reports as requested
  • Special projects as assigned - i.e., ordering and delivering client gifts and holiday cards
  • All other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Demonstrated Photoshop and/or InDesign experience
