What Youโ€™ll Be Doing:
As a Field Construction Intern, youโ€™ll be fully immersed into on-site construction activities, gaining practice experience and an in-depth understanding of multifamily construction projects. You will work closely with the best in the industry, assisting in various aspects of project execution and site management, while contributing to the successful completion of the project.
Major Objectives:
  • Gain Hands-On Experience: Develop practical skills by participating in day-to-day construction activities and site operations on multifamily projects. Assist with the execution of various site-specific tasks, which will include a range of duties such as punch list creation and completion and site maintenance โ€“ no two days are the same!
  • Understand Project Lifecycle: Learn about the full lifecycle of multifamily construction projects, from initial planning and site preparation to final inspection and project completion.
  • Enhance Safety Awareness: Promote job-site safety, encourage safe work practices, and rectify any job site hazards immediately.
  • Team Collaboration: Maintain positive relationships will all Garrett Companies personnel, including the entire project team, subcontractors, suppliers, and all applicable municipal representatives.
Specific Duties amp; Responsibilities:
  • Support Project Team: Actively complete on-site tasks as assigned to achieve completion of the project on schedule and within budget. See how the project evolves and stay on track with required specifications.
  • Maintain an organized job site and site construction office.
  • Foster a positive work environment to provide an opportunity for professional growth and development of employees.
