The Sales Development Representative plays a critical role in driving AbsenceSoft's growth by converting marketing qualified leads and market engagement into qualified sales pipeline. In this individual contributor role, you'll initiate outbound outreach to qualified leads and collaborate closely with the sales team to build a strong pipeline of potential customers. This is an excellent entry point into a B2B SaaS sales career, offering structured training, coaching, and a clear path to an Account Executive role.
This is a hybrid, Denver, Colorado based role with in-office expectations of 2-3 days per week.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Conduct outbound prospecting through email, phone, social media, and other channels using established playbooks to generate qualified discovery calls within your territory
  • Convert qualified inbound marketing leads into sales discovery meetings for Account Executives through diligent, cadence-driven follow-up
  • Partner with aligned Account Executives to prospect new business within a shared territory
  • Research and understand the HR and leave management challenges of prospective organizations
  • Maintain accurate records of outreach activities, leads, and opportunities in the CRM system
  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to develop messaging, campaigns, and strategies that resonate with target audiences

WHAT YOU'LL BRING
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field
  • 0-2 years of experience in sales, business development, or a related role; recent graduates with relevant internship or project experience are encouraged to apply
  • An enthusiasm for a hybrid work environment, with approximately 2 days per week of in-office presence in our downtown Denver location
  • Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • Self-motivated with comfort working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Familiarity with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales engagement tools such as Outreach, ZoomInfo, and LinkedIn
  • Strong research, organizational, and time management skills
  • Knowledge of HR technology or leave management processes is a plus
  • Familiarity with lead generation and lead qualification strategies is a plus
  • Interest in analyzing and applying sales data to improve outreach effectiveness is a plus
  • Exposure to high-growth SaaS or enterprise B2B sales environments is a plus
  • Experience with warm, contextual, value-driven outreach across digital channels is a plus
  • Experience leveraging AI and automation within the SDR process is a plus

Compensation: Base pay for this full-time (non-exempt) position is $50,000 + variable comp + benefits. The expected On-Target Earnings (OTE) for this role is $82,400k.
Final compensation is determined based on a candidate's relevant experience, skills, education, and geographic location.
The pay range for this role is:
50,000 - 50,000 USD per year (US)
