Job description

About the Role

We're hiring a Sales Development Manager to lead and grow our SDR function. This is a player-coach role: you'll be hands-on building the foundation of our sales development motion while coaching a small team of SDRs and scaling it over time. You'll partner closely with Marketing on inbound and own the buildout of our outbound motion, with the goal of driving qualified pipeline and developing the next generation of Account Executives.

What You'll Do

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Sales Development Representatives across inbound and outbound motions.
  • Own SDR pipeline targets and drive consistent quarter-over-quarter improvement in SDR-sourced qualified opportunities.
  • Build a repeatable sales development playbook, including outbound sequences, qualification frameworks, tooling, and reporting cadence.
  • Partner with Marketing to optimize inbound lead flow, routing, and conversion.
  • Run hands-on coaching through call and email reviews, role plays, and structured ramp plans for new hires.
  • Hire, onboard, and retain SDR talent as the team scales.
  • Create a clear career path from SDR to Account Executive and develop internal talent for future closing roles.
  • Report on team performance, pipeline health, and key metrics to sales leadership.

What You'll Bring

  • 4+ years of sales experience, including 1+ years managing or leading SDRs (player-coach experience a plus).
  • Track record of hitting and exceeding pipeline or quota targets in a B2B SaaS environment.
  • Hands-on experience with outbound motions.
  • Strong coaching instincts and a genuine interest in developing people.
  • Proficiency with modern sales tooling (CRM, sales engagement platforms, prospecting tools).
  • Analytical mindset; comfortable using data to diagnose problems and measure improvement.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.

Strong Pluses

  • Experience building an SDR function from an early stage.
  • Background selling into SMB.
  • Experience in healthcare technology or vertical SaaS.
