Role

The Sales Associate is responsible for building long-term relationships with guests, providing exceptional guest services, and meeting sales goals and objectives. You will craft initial sales offers, adeptly handle counter offers from the guest, and reach mutually beneficial agreements when closing the sale. Aspects of your role will include identifying buying signals, seeking the guest’s verbal commitment, and asking for the sale. You’ll be required to obtain product knowledge expertise, explore options at the guest’s request, and utilize resources to make the optimal sale. Throughout the guest experience you will maintain the integrity of Robbins Brothers sales practices by adhering to company policies and procedures.

The Sales Associate works closely with their managers in all aspects of the retail store function. You’ll be accountable for modeling, advocating, and adherence to company policies and procedures.

Primary Responsibilities

Sales

  • Completes all required on-boarding and e-campus assigned training modules in the assigned timeframe.
  • Completes all required sales training and education programs provided by the company.
  • Greets guests, builds rapport, identifies buying behavior, seeks verbal commitment, and asks for the sale.
  • Crafts sales request, adeptly handles counter offers to reach mutual agreement, engages managers and team members for sales support at appropriate time, and adheres to company policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrates the capability to close the sale and follows through to ensure all documentation meets required company policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrates capability to meet key performance indicators, sales goals, and objectives.
  • Tracks own sale close rate and develops strategies for improvement.
  • Utilizes company’s data resources, prospecting methodology, and selling system.

Guest Service

  • Greets guests and makes positive first impression, uses active listening to create engagement, and build rapport.
  • Responds promptly to guests questions and requests, works continuously to exceed their expectations.
  • Delivers the Robbins Brothers selling experience and creates guest loyalty.
  • Builds long term relationships with guests and follows up after the sale.
  • Communicates promptly with guests through all avenues of communication: in-person, telephone, letters, e-mails, and text.
  • Promptly answers telephone calls according to established company guidelines.
  • Maintains accurate guests’ records utilizing Salesforce.
  • Utilizes social media following company guidelines to support the Robbins Brothers brand and build a sales pipeline.

Merchandising

  • Completes the required product training in the timeframe required.
  • Takes personal initiative to acquire product knowledge and stays up to date on incoming merchandise.
  • Demonstrates the ability to sell all product categories.
  • Partners with manager and experienced sales associates to learn merchandise display best practices.
  • Maintains merchandise display cases throughout the day.
  • Demonstrates and maintains Robbins Brothers quality control and security standards when handling merchandise.

Store Security

  • Adheres to company security policies and procedures for store operations.
  • Maintains continual awareness of security concerns when operating within the store.
