Sales Account Manager

The Sales Account Manager is a highly visible, execution-focused, performance-based sales role responsible for managing and growing the portfolio of current customer accounts as well as developing and onboarding new customers. This role is highly proactive and activity-driven, with a strong emphasis on frequent outbound customer engagement, pipeline development, and revenue expansion. The Sales Account Manager is expected to consistently initiate contact, uncover new opportunities, and drive measurable growth.

Success in this role requires a disciplined approach to daily outreach, follow-up, and account development, combined with strong sales acumen, analytics, product knowledge, and solutions selling.

The position will report to the Director of Sales with compensation to include salary and bonus based on achieving revenue targets

Essential Functions of the Role

Duties and Responsibilities

Account Management, Sales & Outbound Activity

  • Actively manage and grow a portfolio of B2B existing accounts and dealer partners with full ownership of revenue performance.
  • Execute a high volume of outbound activity (calls, emails, virtual meetings) to drive engagement, uncover opportunities, and increase share of wallet.
  • Establish consistent contact cadence across all accounts, ensuring no accounts become inactive or underdeveloped.
  • Identify product assortment gaps and proactively sell in new items, categories, and programs.
  • Monitor account performance and take immediate action to address declines or unlock growth opportunities.
  • Identify, pursue, and acquire new customers

Revenue Management & Communication

  • Own and report on weekly sales performance, pipeline activity, account engagement, and growth initiatives.
  • Collaborate with other functional roles to support forecasting, promotions, and revenue-driving initiatives.
  • Provide actionable insights for customer trends, risks, and opportunities to management.

Customer Onboarding & Account Activation

  • Support onboarding new accounts, ensuring fast, efficient activation and early revenue generation.
  • Conduct onboarding discussions to establish clear expectations, timelines, and next steps.
  • Proactively guide accounts to first order and ongoing engagement, minimizing time to revenue.

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Serve as a liaison between customers and internal teams including Sales, IT, Operations, and Customer Care.
  • Partner cross-functionally to remove barriers to growth and improve customer experience.
  • Support resolution of API/integration and operational issues impacting performance.
  • Contribute to internal initiatives that improve account scalability and efficiency.
