Job description

Cardiac Cath Lab Nurse Director

Cardiac Cath Lab Nurse Director opportunity in Eastern New Jersey: lead, innovate, and elevate a flagship cardiovascular program where clinical excellence meets career-defining impact.

The Cardiac Cath Lab Nurse Director will join a healthcare organization with a mission-driven, patient-first culture that delivers measurable outcomes, sustained quality scores, and outstanding safety performance. This Cardiac Cath Lab Nurse Director role benefits from positive media momentum, strong brand trust, and a reputation for clinical excellence supported by advanced imaging, AI-assisted decision tools, and modernized procedural suites. Leadership fosters innovation with hospital-at-home pilots, telehealth extensions, and value-based care models. Nursing excellence is supported through shared governance, evidence-based practice resources, simulation labs, tuition assistance, and funded conferences. Clinicians in the Cardiac Cath Lab Nurse Director seat can expect robust interdisciplinary collaboration with cardiology, electrophysiology, pharmacy, anesthesia, and case management. The organization invests in real-time analytics, quality registries, and workflow optimization to reduce clicks and streamline care, enabling the Cardiac Cath Lab Nurse Director to focus on outcomes and team development.

The Cardiac Cath Lab Nurse Director will guide a best-in-class cardiac cath labโ€”also known as a cardiovascular catheterization lab, invasive procedure lab, and EP labโ€”where you'll lead a highly specialized team supporting interventional cardiology and diagnostic procedures, with the opportunity to drive program expansion, operational excellence, and quality outcomes. The organization is committed to advanced technology, physician partnership, and patient-centered care, creating an environment where innovative leaders can make a visible impact; and this role provides strong executive exposure, the autonomy to shape cardiovascular strategy, and the opportunity to build a high-performing department positioned for continued growth. As a Cardiac Cath Lab Nurse Director, this environment enables continuous improvement across STEMI workflows, complex PCI and structural heart coordination, electrophysiology case growth, and post-procedure recovery pathways.

Reporting to a Chief Nursing Officer with a strong dyad partnership with the Medical Director of Cardiology and EP, the cardiovascular catheterization lab director will have comprehensive responsibility for clinical operations, staffing models, budget stewardship, supply and device management, quality metrics, accreditation readiness, radiation safety, sedation standards, and throughput; the invasive procedure lab director will be supported by clinical educators, experienced charge RNs, data analysts for NCDR and quality dashboards, and a collaborative materials management team; surrounded by friendly nurses, techs, APPs, and a diverse healthcare professional team that values inclusion and teamwork, the EP lab director will lead coaching, mentoring, and shared-governance initiatives while advancing door-to-balloon performance, patient experience, and zero-harm culture.

Eastern New Jersey offers Cardiac Cath Lab Nurse Director candidates a vibrant coastal-meets-urban lifestyle with easy access to beaches, boardwalks, parks, and greenways, plus quick rail and highway connections to major metros and airports for effortless travel; families of a cardiovascular catheterization lab director will appreciate highly rated schools, nearby universities, abundant youth sports, and family-friendly neighborhoods with a range of housing options from historic charm to modern waterfront living; the culinary scene delights with renowned pizza, Jersey Shore seafood, global cuisine, and thriving farmers markets, while arts lovers find concerts, theaters, museums, cultural festivals, and a celebrated live music heritage; professionals considering an EP lab director future will find a diverse economy across healthcare, life sciences, tech, logistics, and finance, supported by entrepreneurship resources, favorable commute options, and walkable downtowns; outdoor enthusiasts in an invasive procedure lab director career enjoy cycling paths, beaches, marinas, golf, and four-season recreation, while community-minded residents benefit from strong healthcare access, safety investments, and active civic life that keeps neighborhoods clean, connected, and welcoming.

The Cardiac Cath Lab Nurse Director will receive competitive compensation with performance incentives, differentials, and a full suite of health and retirement benefits, including medical, dental, vision, paid time off, 401(k)/403(b) options with employer contributions, tuition assistance, paid certifications, and meaningful wellness resources.
