Job description

Objective

The Sales – Original Equipment Manufacturer(OEM) Engineer role objectives include but are not limited to: Provide account management and sales support for established customers.  Provide pre-sale support for OEM sales team, engineering, and supply chain.  Lead post-sale customer support function within OEM group, liaison between sales, engineering, and customers.  Support technical needs in repower sales opportunities as well as engine packaging and upfitting operations.

Responsibilities
  • Sales account management - sustain established customer relationships through a variety of activities (account management, development of power package solutions, pre- and post-sale technical support)
  • Lead “service concierge” activates required to support OEM customers and end users, coordinating across functions, customer teams, as well as partners and dealers. This includes supporting OEM dealers and their customers as they navigate product issues and/or downtime in and out of territory.
  • Support new product development processes as a technical interface with customers, sales, and engineering. This includes development of system-level power package solutions incorporating engines, drive train, aftertreatment, and other systems to incorporate into OEM machines.
  • Engage with PSSR sales organization to enable additional repower opportunities
  • Support sales operations and internal or external upfitting and packaging operations as a technical liaison to ensure processes deliver customer requirements with high quality and repeatability
Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Management, Business Administration, Marketing, Communications or in a mechanical/technical curriculum.
  • 8 years or more of experience dealing with engine products, equipment, parts and service
  • 3 years Sales experience

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in management, Business Administration, Marketing, Communications and or in a mechanical/technical curriculum.
  • 10 years or more of experience dealing with Caterpillar engine products, equipment, parts and service
  • 5 years or more of Sales experience
