The Trade Sales Representative is a 1099 contractor role responsible for driving new distribution, elevating brand visibility, and strengthening Sake ONO’s presence in the San Francisco market. This role focuses on securing new accounts, educating the trade, winning menu placements and LTO features, and developing strong relationships with both on- and off-premise partners. This position will report to the Northern California Area Market Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive new account acquisition through targeted outreach, in-person visits, and strong brand storytelling.
  • Conduct trade education, tastings, and staff trainings to build awareness and advocacy.
  • Secure menu placements, LTOs, printed cocktails, and BTG features in priority accounts.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with buyers, bar managers, beverage directors, and retail staff.
  • Execute sampling initiatives to introduce Sake ONO to new buyers and key decision-makers.
  • Support visibility through merchandising, menu integrations, and trade follow-up.
  • Track activity, submit invoices, and report weekly updates to the Area Market Manager.

Scope of Services & Objectives:

This role is responsible for driving measurable, sustainable growth in the San Francisco market by:

  • Conducting frequent account visits and samplings
  • Educating trade partners and staff
  • Securing new points of distribution
  • Winning menu placements and LTO opportunities
  • Building and maintaining a strong pipeline of new business

Compensation Structure:

Hourly Compensation

  • $50/hour (adjusted based on experience)
  • Maximum payout: $1,000/week
  • Invoices for hours and mileage must be submitted via Bill.com

Performance Bonuses

  • $50 per new POD (Point of Distribution)
  • $25 per physical case sold within 30 days of POD
  • $200 bonus for an approved printed cocktail featuring Sake ONO (photo required)

Maximum potential payout: $275 per POD/menu placement in target accounts

Requirements:

Deliverables & Performance Expectations:To be completed within mutually agreed-upon timelines:

  • 50 new account visits within a 2-month period
  • 40 samplings with new or existing accounts within a 2-month period
  • 10 menu placements, printed cocktails, or BTG listings per quarter
