As Chief Veterinarian, you'll serve as the senior clinical leader for our Spring, Texas practice while providing clinical leadership for Practice Site Veterinarians across Sage Veterinary Imaging. In partnership with the Hospital Manager, you'll help advance excellence at the practice level while promoting consistent standards of care, quality, and professional development across the organization.

Working collaboratively with the Chief Operating Officer, Chief Medical Director – Radiology, Hospital Managers, board-certified radiologists, and some of the world’s premier cross-sectional and neurologic imaging specialists, you'll help shape clinical standards, mentor veterinarians and interns, lead quality improvement initiatives, and use clinical and operational insights to strengthen the delivery of specialty diagnostic imaging across one of North America’s premier specialty diagnostic imaging organizations.

At Sage Veterinary Imaging, you'll:

• Serve as the senior clinical leader for our Spring practice while helping advance medical quality across Sage Veterinary Imaging.
• Collaborate with board-certified radiologists and internationally renowned imaging specialists.
• Partner with the Chief Medical Director – Radiology to advance clinical quality, diagnostic consistency, and patient outcomes.
• Mentor veterinarians and interns while developing the next generation of clinical leaders.
• Use clinical and operational data to improve veterinarian performance, patient care, and service delivery.
• Establish clinical protocols, quality standards, and best practices that shape the future of the organization.
• Continue practicing advanced diagnostic medicine in a collaborative, referral-focused environment.
• Enjoy the flexibility of one remote workday per week following successful onboarding and demonstrated proficiency.

As the senior clinical leader for the Spring practice, you'll lead the medical direction of the hospital, ensuring exceptional patient care, clinical quality, and veterinarian development. You'll work closely with the Hospital Manager, who leads operational and administrative functions, to ensure medicine and operations remain aligned in support of an exceptional patient, client, and team experience.

You’ll:

• Lead the clinical direction of the Spring practice.
• Establish and uphold high standards of patient care, medical decision-making, and professional accountability.
• Provide clinical leadership for diagnostic imaging, anesthesia, patient management, and complex case coordination.
• Promote evidence-based medicine and consistent standards of care.
• Lead clinical discussions, case reviews, quality improvement activities, and continuing education.
• Mentor veterinarians and interns through coaching, feedback, and professional development.
• Partner with the Hospital Manager to improve clinical workflows, patient access, and service delivery.
• Support the implementation of new clinical services, technologies, and best practices.
• Strengthen referral confidence through outstanding medicine and professional collaboration.

Beyond the Spring practice, you’ll provide clinical leadership and support for Practice Site Veterinarians across Sage Veterinary Imaging, promoting consistency, collaboration, and clinical excellence throughout the organization.

You’ll:

• Promote consistent standards of care and evidence-based clinical practice.
• Develop and maintain clinical protocols, guidelines, and best practices.
• Provide coaching, mentorship, and clinical support for Practice Site Veterinarians.
• Support the onboarding and development of newly hired veterinarians.
• Foster collaboration and knowledge sharing among veterinarians, radiologists, and specialty clinicians.
• Support the implementation of new clinical initiatives and organizational priorities.
• Serve as a clinical resource for complex or sensitive medical cases.

A primary responsibility of this role is developing confident, capable clinicians who deliver exceptional patient care.

You’ll:

• Mentor veterinarians and interns through coaching, case discussions, and regular feedback.
• Strengthen clinical judgment, diagnostic reasoning, communication, and case management skills.
• Establish clear clinical expectations and support individualized development plans.
• Lead rounds, case reviews, and educational initiatives that promote continuous learning.
• Support internship education in collaboration with Sage's medical and educational leaders.
• Identify and develop future clinical leaders.
• Address performance concerns through coaching, education, and structured improvement plans.
• Use clinical and operational performance data, in partnership with the Chief Operating Officer, to guide development and improve clinical performance.

Working closely with the Chief Medical Director – Radiology, you’ll help ensure consistent, high-quality medical care across Sage Veterinary Imaging.

You’ll:

• Evaluate clinical quality, diagnostic trends, and patient outcomes.
• Translate quality findings into coaching, education, and protocol improvements.
• Lead clinical case reviews, peer review discussions, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Develop and maintain evidence-based clinical protocols and standards of care.
• Promote consistency in documentation, case management, and clinical decision-making.
• Collaborate with veterinarians, radiologists, technicians, and leadership to continuously improve patient care and service quality.

As a senior clinical leader, you’ll help strengthen Sage Veterinary Imaging through clinical insight, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

You’ll:

• Partner with Hospital Managers, the Chief Operating Officer, and the Chief Medical Director – Radiology to support organizational initiatives.
• Provide clinical input on workflow, capacity, new services, and patient access.
• Represent Sage Veterinary Imaging through referral engagement, professional outreach, and continuing education.
• Identify opportunities to improve service consistency and the overall client and referring veterinarian experience.

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or Veterinary Medical Doctor (VMD) degree.
• Eligible for or currently licensed to practice veterinary medicine in Texas, or able to obtain licensure.
• Five or more years of clinical veterinary experience.
• Demonstrated leadership experience through mentoring, teaching, supervision, or clinical program development.
• Strong clinical judgment and commitment to evidence-based medicine.

• Experience mentoring veterinarians, interns, or multidisciplinary clinical teams.
• Experience collaborating with board-certified specialists or leading across multiple practice locations.

• Collaboration with veterinarians, radiologists, and leaders across Sage Veterinary Imaging.
• Participation in leadership meetings, case reviews, and educational activities.
• Occasional travel between Sage locations.
• Following successful onboarding, eligibility for one remote workday per week dedicated to focused clinical leadership activities, while remaining available to support the practice and organization.
