Meridian Health Services is currently seeking a full-time day Accounts Payable Technician to be responsible for providing financial and administrative support by assuring the regular, timely, and accurate payment of Corporate invoices and requests for funds while maintaining complete and accurate records of paid invoices.

This position will work Monday thru Friday 8a-5p.

Accounts Payable Technician Key Responsibilities:

  • Completes payments and controls expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices.
  • Reconciles processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances.
  • Charges expenses to accounts and reporting units by analyzing invoice/expense reports; recording entries.
  • Pay vendors by monitoring discount opportunities, verifying federal id numbers, scheduling and preparing checks, and resolving purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies and documentation.
  • Ensures credit is received for outstanding memos.
  • Issues stop-payments or purchase order amendments.
  • Maintains historical records by electronic retention and filing.
  • Protects organizations value by keeping information confidential.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.

We are seeking Accounts Payable Technician candidates with the following qualities:

  • Associates Degree in Accounting or related field and/or 2-3 years of proven accounts payable or general accounting experience. A Bachelors degree in any field can be substituted for direct accounting experience.
  • Prior exposure to, or foundational knowledge of, Sage Intacct or similar enterprise accounting software platforms preferred.
  • 0-3 years of office or professional work experience also preferred.
