About the Role:
Ziegler Industries is seeking a Safety Specialist to lead safety programs, policies, and procedures across our projects. You’ll conduct site inspections, deliver safety training, evaluate incidents, and implement safeguards to keep our teams and clients safe. This role is field-heavy, ideal for someone with construction or industrial contracting experience.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct safety audits on job sites, personnel, equipment, and materials.
  • Analyze incidents/accidents for trends and recommend improvements.
  • Organize and deliver safety training for employees and vendors.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, MSHA, and other regulations.
  • Maintain job site records, reporting findings to management.
  • Respond calmly and effectively to emergency situations.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • 3–5 years in Occupational Health & Safety required; industrial contracting preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
  • MSHA experience a plus.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA and DOT safety standards.
  • Excellent communication, training, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently and with diverse teams.

  • Significant fieldwork in all areas of job sites.
  • Ability to walk, climb, and work in varying conditions.
