Evolution Safety Resources (ESR) is a workplace safety consulting and staffing firm. With five corporate offices and nationwide support, we help our clients surpass compliance with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) while keeping employees safe on the job. We are passionate about our mission of protecting workers from injury, creating world-class safety programs, and implementing real and lasting change for our customers.
Location: OR, WA, CA, ID, NV (Project-Based Assignments)

We are looking for full-time Safety Representatives to facilitate compliance with occupational health and safety (OSH) guidelines on our customers' sites. You will provide advice on measures to minimize hazards or unhealthy situations. You will also be on a constant lookout for violations. Your work will be largely focused on prevention, so you need to be conscientious and farsighted.

The ideal candidate will also be detail-oriented and ready to act in emergencies. The goal is to establish a safe workplace according to legal standards and foster a culture of attention to health and safety. We are seeking someone who is based out of Raleigh or the surrounding area.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Compliance with all OSHA, EPA, DOT and NFPA regulations,
  • Follow all safety rules and report any unsafe conditions.
  • Properly use all required personal protection equipment
  • Comply with jobsite guidelines to insure a clean, safe and hazard free work environment.
  • Maintains daily reports required by the customer including daily inspections, Job Safety Analysis, and incident reports.
  • Inspects sites daily for existing and/or potential incident and health hazards, determines corrective or preventative measures where indicated, and follows up to ensure measures have been implemented.
  • Investigates all injuries and illnesses reported.
  • Responsible for monitoring and maintaining chemical inventory system as required (HAZCOM).
  • Provides information, signs, posters, barriers, and other materials to warn of potential and actual health and safety hazards and to prevent access to hazardous conditions.
  • Compiles and submits accident reports required by regulatory agencies.
  • Represents the organization in community or industry safety groups and programs.
  • Maintains safety files and records.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • OSHA 30 credentials (required)
  • OSHA 510 credentials (strongly preferred)
  • CHST (a plus)
  • Civil Construction (a plus)
  • Field Safety Experience- 5 yrs (preferred)
  • Bilingual (a plus)
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The employee is frequently assigned to outdoor jobs, requires long periods of standing and lifting and carrying of training supplies. Employee will be expected to have a clean driving history, a valid driver’s license and pass a background and substance screening.
