We are searching for a highly organized and detail-oriented individual who is eager to launch or grow a career in risk management within the construction industry. As a Risk Management Specialist at Christa Construction, you'll play a key role in supporting contracts, insurance, compliance, and project teams while helping safeguard the company's operations and contribute to successful project delivery. Essential Functions & Accountabilities

  • Create and review owner contracts, including any necessary markups to be reviewed by the Risk Manager.
  • Coordinate contract review meetings with the preconstruction team.
  • Assist Risk Manager with contract negotiation between Owners and Attorneys.
  • Create, track and support project team with Owner contract exhibits.
  • Conduct annual review of standard Owner contracts and master subcontracts.
  • Coordinate with insurance agencies to request insurance certificates.
  • Assist Risk Manager with acquiring and reviewing payment and performance bonds.
  • Support Risk Manager with annual insurance renewals as needed.
  • Coordinate and schedule risk transfer trainings.
  • Support administrative assistants with subcontractor insurance reviews.
  • Maintain and track job site and distribution lists for third-party safety inspections and ensure timely completion of follow-up action.
  • Provide jobsite safety information to risk manager for safety and insurance monthly meeting.
  • Update annual review of safety manual.
  • Annual review of the jobsite safety orientation PowerPoint.
  • Ensure job sites are compliant with correct OSHA job postings for the year.
  • Support Risk Manager with legal matters as needed.
  • Complete special projects and all other duties as assigned.

Work Environment

  • Frequently required to sit, stand and walk.

  • Ability to work irregular hours to meet the needs of the business to achieve required performance.

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 3-6 years of experience in risk management, construction insurance or a related field required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in contract law preferred.
  • Experience in construction preferred.
