Job Title: Site Safety Specialist

Job Description

The Site Safety Specialist oversees and drives the safety program on construction sites. This role focuses on ensuring a safe work environment, enforcing safety standards, and promoting a strong safety culture throughout all phases of construction. The position involves frequent travel to various project locations and requires expertise in electrical safety and mission-critical construction environments.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the site safety program on active construction projects, with a focus on mission-critical and data center environments.
  • Monitor day-to-day construction activities to ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry best practices.
  • Conduct regular site safety inspections and audits, identifying hazards and ensuring timely corrective actions.
  • Promote and enforce electrical safety practices in accordance with NFPA 70E and OSHA standards.
  • Oversee safe rigging and lifting operations, ensuring proper procedures and equipment use.
  • Ensure safe operation and use of man-lifts and scissor lifts, including verification of training and adherence to safety guidelines.
  • Track and document recordable incidents and near misses, maintaining accurate safety records and reports.
  • Provide safety guidance and support to site teams, subcontractors, and field personnel.
  • Participate in or support safety meetings, toolbox talks, and safety training sessions as needed.
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to continuously improve site safety performance and culture.
  • Travel regularly to multiple project sites to provide on-site safety oversight and support.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
