Job Description:

Is effectively involved with maintaining the safety for assigned patients through continuous observation and surveillance. Communicates with the Registered Nurse and patient care team to ensure a safe environment for medical patients requiring constant observation. Completes duties as assigned under the direct supervision of the RN.

Additional Information About the Position for Qualified Candidates

This position will require every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday) in addition to varied weekday shifts. Recruiter will discuss shift availability upon time of offer. Dependent upon availability, possible shifts could include: 

  • 12-hour or 8-hour shifts
  • Day, evening, or night shift
  • Night shift differential: $1.75
  • Evening shift differential: $1.35

Education:
▪ Preferred: High School Diploma or Equivalent
Experience:
▪ Preferred: Previous patient sitter experience
Skills:
▪ Must be 18 years of age or older
▪ Able to communicate and work with a wide variety of staff, patients and families
▪ Basic computer skills
▪ Ability to problem solve
▪ Flexibility and ability to remain alert to safety issues
