This is a temporary position.
JOB SUMMARY
Marriott operates the Empower platform, supporting over 100,000 associates across Hotels, Customer Engagement Centers, and Sales. We are seeking a motivated Salesforce subject matter expert to join the Empower ResApp team and support delivery for the Empower ResApp Agile Release Train (ART).
In this role, you will lead and enable delivery across a single ART while managing dependencies with other ARTs and shared platform teams. You will partner closely with Product Management, Architecture, and Engineering to drive execution excellence, improve delivery flow, and ensure scalable, high-quality solutions using SAFe and DevOps practices.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Required
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience/certifications
  • 8+ years of progressive experience across multiple technologies, delivery models, or disciplines
  • 5+ years managing release cadences and aligning delivery to a release calendar
  • 5+ years partnering with Product Managers and Architects to align delivery execution with product strategy
  • 5+ years facilitating collaboration across Scrum teams, Architecture, UX, and external ART stakeholders
  • 3+ years leading teams or managing a complex initiative as a Release Train Engineer (or similar role)
  • 3+ years working with DevOps teams to implement CI/CD and automation strategies

Additional Experience
  • Hands-on experience facilitating PI Planning and managing execution in a SAFe environment
  • Experience managing cross-ART dependencies and coordinating delivery with external teams
  • Strong experience in dependency management, risk mitigation, and release planning
  • Familiarity with DevOps operating models and release governance practices
  • Ability to apply Kanban/Scrum principles to optimize delivery flow
  • Experience using Jira, Confluence and reporting tools to track delivery progress, risks, and outcomes

Preferred
  • Graduate degree in a technical discipline
  • SAFe RTE or SAFe SPC certification
  • Experience contributing to delivery strategies, roadmaps, or capability improvements

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
  • Manage and optimize the flow of work across the Empower ResApp ART using Program Agile and related tools
  • Facilitate ART ceremonies including PI Planning, system demos, reviews, and retrospectives
  • Drive delivery execution and continuous improvement using metrics and team feedback
  • Partner with Product Management and Architecture to ensure alignment between roadmap and execution
  • Ensure PI Planning readiness by driving backlog maturity, dependency identification, and cross-team alignment
  • Coordinate and manage dependencies with external ARTs, shared services, and platform teams
  • Identify and address delivery risks, resource gaps, and bottlenecks within the ART
  • Escalate and help resolve impediments impacting ART delivery or cross-team dependencies
  • Maintain ART dashboards to track PI objectives, predictability, and flow metrics
  • Support adoption of DevOps practices to improve release quality and speed
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to refine processes and improve delivery consistency
  • Foster a collaborative, accountable, and high-performing team environment
