Job description

The Position This is a continuous filing exam. The next filing cut-offs are at 5:00 pm on: 12/12/25, 2/6/26, 3/3/26, *4/1/26, 5/1/26, 6/26/26, 8/21/26 Under close supervision, performs a wide variety of unskilled and semi-skilled tasks in connection with the maintenance of County parks, roads, utility plants, pipelines, drainage ditches, and other facilities. Positions in this classification are temporary and part-time only.

It is intended to facilitate the accomplishment of seasonal workload requirements. Employees in this classification are given close supervision and do not perform the more skilled assignments. Examples of Knowledge and Abilities Ability to Follow written and oral instructions and abide by rules and regulations.

Learn and perform maintenance assignments. Read, write, and speak English at a level necessary for satisfactory job performance. Employment Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Possession of a valid California Driver's License, Class 3 (now Class C) or higher.

Therefore, the candidate's responses to the supplemental questionnaire should be thorough, detailed and complete. The score from the Formula Rate Examination will determine the ranking on the eligible/employment list for this job.
