Job description

This role will primarily provide comprehensive technical and business support for client's Period and Annual Financial Reporting and data integrations across the SAP Business Objects BI 4.2 ecosystem for reporting and Organizational hierarchy maintenance for financial close.

Tasks:

  • Create and maintain new SAP BI IDT Universes using Hyperion Essbase and Oracle.
  • Maintain Essbase unit and organizational hierarchy based on business requirements.
  • Ability to analyze and maintain User security.
  • Create and maintain complex Universe Dimensions, Measures, Formulas, Parameters, Prompts, and List of Values.
  • Create and maintain Strip Lists in Oracle and Essbase Universes.
  • Create and maintain dimensions and measures in IDT using Essbase as a data source and complex MDX functions and variables.
  • Understanding of Essbase Applications, Hierarchy, Dimensions, Variables, Sessions, and Functions.
  • Work with the SAP BI Team at Mars to ensure and maintain the environment changes, security changes, and patch updates.
  • Maintain complex Web Intelligence reports with multiple data sources, containing more than 10 data providers and several formulas.
  • Experience maintaining a large-scale enterprise with over 100 reports and 1000 SAP BI Publications/Schedules.
  • Monitor and performance tune the recurring schedules when necessary.
  • Resourceful and trainable in third-party software to create Financial Publications using the PDF Meld tool and Python Automation.
  • Maintain Financial Publications security through the web page.
  • Assist in maintaining the Oracle Tables, Views, and Materialized Views for BO reports.
  • Debug and support SAP BI Reports, MDX Queries, and Oracle SQL Metadata.
  • Ability to be available for extended support during Week 1 of Period Close.
  • Maintain technical / service documentation.
  • Work on resolving technical and data issues.
  • Able to move changes to Production using Promotion Management.
  • Conduct End-user testing before the Production Move.
  • Take initiative in understanding business processes.
  • Create Service Now Change Requests and follow the defined process on the Production move.
  • Work on your day-to-day activities using a logical and common sense approach.
