Job description

Optimum RV is a premier RV dealership committed to providing quality service and a wide selection of recreational vehicles. We are looking for a skilled and dedicated RV Service Technician to join our service team and ensure our customers' RVs are maintained and repaired to the highest standards. Hourly pay relative to level of work experience; available weekly production bonuses, add an additional 20% to total weeks pay.
Dealership Location: 377 Capital Cir. SW, Tallahassee, FL 32304
Responsibilities:
Service Technicians are responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and performing maintenance on a variety of recreational vehicles. The primary duties will include:
  • Performing inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on RV systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and structural components.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Conducting pre-delivery inspections (PDIs) to ensure RVs meet quality and safety standards before delivery to customers.
  • Documenting all work performed, including parts used and labor time, in the dealership's service management system.
  • Communicating with service advisors and customers to provide detailed explanations of repairs and maintenance work.
  • Keeping up-to-date with industry standards, manufacturer guidelines, and technical bulletins.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work area and ensuring tools and equipment are in good working condition.
  • Adhering to all safety protocols and company policies.
  • All other responsibilities as assigned.
  • Willing to learn all aspects of RV repair including house repairs
  • Current certification (RVIA/RVDA/RVTI) OR interest in completing online training courses for RVIA certification
  • ***Paid on-the-job RVTI Technician Certification Training***

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
    • Strong knowledge of RV systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical components.
    • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    • Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical information to non-technical customers.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • High school diploma or equivalent; RV experience preferred.
    • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
    • RVIA/RVDA certification or other relevant industry certifications (preferred)
    • Experience with computerized diagnostic tools and software (preferred).
    • Familiarity with warranty repair processes and documentation (preferred).
