Job description

Our dealership is growing fast, and we are looking for someone who enjoys fixing things, working with
their hands, and solving problems. If you have experience as a handyman, in construction, maintenance,
or general repair work, this is an opportunity to turn those skills into a long-term career as an RV
Technician.
You do not need to be RV certified to start. We are open to training the right person who brings a strong
work ethic, mechanical aptitude, and a willingness to learn.
In this role, you will work on a wide variety of systems including electrical, plumbing, propane, appliances,
and structural components inside recreational vehicles. No two days are the same, and the work is
hands-on and rewarding.
Our goal is to change how customers experience RV service. We run an honest shop, support our team,
and take pride in doing quality work.
What You'll Do
  • Inspect and diagnose issues on RVs, travel trailers, and motorhomes
  • Perform repairs across multiple systems including electrical, plumbing, appliances, and general carpentry
  • Work alongside experienced technicians and shop leadership to learn repair processes
  • Communicate with service advisors regarding findings and repair progress
  • Track and document work completed on each unit
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
  • Follow all safety and environmental guidelines
What We're Looking For
  • Experience as a handyman, maintenance tech, construction worker, or similar hands-on role
  • Basic knowledge of tools, mechanical systems, or home repair
  • Willingness to learn new skills across multiple trades
  • Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail
  • Ability to follow instructions and work both independently and as part of a team
Compensation
  • $20 to $25 per hour for entry-level candidates
  • $25+ per hour for RVTI Certified Technicians (based on experience and certification level)
  • Pay is based on your skill set and experience
Additional Benefits
  • Training and career development toward RV Technician certification
  • Relocation assistance available
  • Up to a $5,000 sign-on bonus for qualified candidates
    • Half paid after 3 months
    • Half paid after 6 months
    • 1-year commitment required

Schedule
  • Monday through Friday
  • Rotating Saturdays
  • 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
If you enjoy working with your hands and want to build a career instead of just working another job, this is
a strong opportunity to get into a growing industry with long-term potential.
Education/Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, flooring, etc.
Physical Requirements
  • Be able to stand, walk or crouch for extended periods of time
  • Lift and carry up to 50 lbs
  • Bending, stooping, kneeling frequently
  • Must be able to climb ladders
Benefits
  • Excellent earning potential and advancement opportunities
  • Medical benefits package with multiple plan options to choose from including vision and dental
  • 401(k) retirement plan with employer match
  • Holiday pay and vacation time
  • Employee discounts
  • Employee borrow program (take a camper and GO CAMPING)
  • Profit sharing
Bretz RV's Commitment to You
  • Opportunity to work in a family-oriented environment where work-life balance matters
  • Growth and advancement opportunities
  • Team building activities and events throughout the year
  • The opportunity to be a part of a team in a booming industry that works together to provide every customer with the best experience possible
NEW BUILDING COMING SOON!
About Our Dealership
Bretz RV & Marine opened for business in Missoula, Montana, in 1967. Until then, Frank and Vi Bretz had
been operating a service station and renting U-Hauls in central Missoula. A search for a new camping
trailer ended up turning into a new business opportunity. Not only did the Bretz family get a new camper,
they decided to get into the business of selling and renting small travel trailers.
Today Bretz RV & Marine is still a family-owned and operated business with five dealerships across
Montana and Idaho. We are fortunate to have grown from just over 100 employees to nearly 400
employees in the last five years. We do all we can to offer our teams an excellent place to work and
advance in our company. We start by finding great people with high energy and then find the best place
for them to be successful in our dealerships.
Throughout the year, you will see Bretz RV & Marine sponsoring events from local school functions to
veterans associations, Toys-4-Tots, Make-A-Wish, and many more. We feel it's important to contribute to
the communities in which we do business.
EEOC
Our company maintains a firm policy of equal employment opportunity for all associates. We hire, train,
promote and compensate associates based on personal and professional competence and potential for
advancement without regard for race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, marital status, disability, or
citizenship, as well as other classifications protected by applicable federal, state or local laws.
