Summary of Duties:

The RV Park Attendant supports the daily operations of the RV Park and Convenience Store. This position serves as the primary point of contact for guests, assisting with RV site reservations, registrations, check-ins, check-outs, and guest inquiries. The RV Park Attendant processes rental transactions and maintains accurate records throughout each guest's stay. This role also performs convenience store operations, including operating the point-of-sale system, processing cash and credit card transactions, stocking merchandise, monitoring inventory levels, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of sales and storage areas. The RV Park Attendant maintains assigned work areas in a clean, safe, and organized condition, including the front desk, convenience store, restrooms, laundry facilities, and other designated areas. The position reports maintenance concerns and safety hazards to management and follows established procedures and operational guidelines. 

Position Purpose:

The purpose of the RV Park Attendant is to provide a welcoming and service-focused environment for guests by supporting the daily operation of the RV Park and Convenience Store. This position ensures guests receive consistent, high-quality service while contributing to the cleanliness, organization, and overall upkeep of the facilities. It plays a key role in maintaining a safe, orderly, and enjoyable environment by supporting established service standards and promoting positive guest experiences throughout all areas of the RV Park and its associated amenities. 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of customer service principles, guest relations, and hospitality practices, with the ability to provide professional, courteous, and responsive service to guests and team members. 
  • Knowledge of Visual One reservation software, check-in/check-out procedures, and RV site rental procedures preferred.  
  • Must have the ability to learn and apply operational policies and procedures effectively. 
  • Knowledge of cash handling, payment processing, and Agilysys point-of-sale software preferred.  
  • Must have the ability to accurately process transactions, balance cash drawers, and perform basic mathematical calculations. 
  • Knowledge of convenience store operations, including merchandising, stocking, inventory control, and retail sales practices. 
  • Skill in maintaining accurate records, completing required documentation, and handling confidential guest and company information required. 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests, vendors, and team members. 
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks, efficiently. 
  • Ability to identify, address, and report guest concerns, maintenance issues, safety hazards, and other operational matters in a timely and professional manner. 
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while contributing effectively as a member of a team. 
  • Ability to maintain clean, safe, organized, and presentable facilities in accordance with established standards. 
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment, maintain professionalism, and remain composed when handling difficult situations or high guest volumes. 
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events as required.

Requirements

Education/ Qualifications: 

  •  High School Diploma or GED preferred. 
  •  Strong guest service, interpersonal, and organizational skills. 
  •  Basic computer knowledge and typing skills preferred. 
  •  Ability to read, write, and speak English effectively. 

Work Requirements:

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the required Gaming License. 
  • Must maintain strict confidentiality and comply with all data privacy policies regarding employee and organizational information. 
  • Requires problem solving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively.  
  • Position involves prolonged walking, stooping, or bending, lifting, or carrying up to 50 pounds daily.  
  • Work is performed in a convenience store and RV Park environment with varying levels of lighting, air quality, noise, and / or temperature.
