Job description

Essential Functions: Perform routine maintenance on ferry vessels, terminals, and related equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Able to perform up-keep and preventive maintenance on vessels with minimal supervision.
  • Follow maintenance and safety procedures as directed by the supervisor.
  • Must be able to lead in team assignments, as well as able to work alone.
  • Comply with all Fisher Island standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Perform all other related duties as requested.
  • Must adhere to safety standards.

Education/ Skills/ Qualifying Work Experience (one or more)
  • High School diploma preferred.
  • Carpentry, custom cabinet maker, laminates, general repairs, and maintenance.
  • Experience with marine coating, rust prevention, and preservation.
  • Knowledge of marine equipment and tools.
  • Must speak, read, and write English.

Working Conditions

  • Outside marine equipment/maintenance environment.
  • Aboard vessel.
