One Royal Culture Short Story

We currently have an opening for a Project Engineer role that can be based out of Dallas, TX, Denver, CO, or Austin, TX. This position will support airfield infrastructure projects at Dallas–Fort Worth International Airport, Denver International Airport, or Austin-Bergstrom International Airport, depending on the selected location.

The Project Engineer will focus on airfield infrastructure projects in the surrounding region and will be an integral part of the project management team overseeing critical airfield operations, including taxiway and runway lighting, edge lights, associated systems, and more.

Success in the position is achieved through the following duties & responsibilities:

  • Manage document control between job folders and PlanGrid.
  • Perform take offs for lighting and power counts.
  • Assist with job start-ups including procuring a jobsite trailer and office material, identify vendors in job site area, and work with accounting to set up new vendors if needed.
  • Understand the project’s schedule including deliverables and milestones. Assist in the development with project team.
  • Prepare commodity submittals, review long lead submittals, prepare RFIs and CORs, track documentation of submitted/returned, and closeout documents.
  • Process material orders/Subcontractor T&C and ensure phase codes are being assigned.
  • Assist project team with deliveries to site or shop.
  • Follow up with vendors regarding long lead items and tracking procurement.
  • Collect production data from field and input into production and quantity tracking so information is timely and accurate.
  • Resource for Foreman, Field Engineer, Project Manager, and Superintendent
  • Build and maintain relationship with General Contractors and/or Project Owners, Subcontractors, and vendors that promote project success.
  • Complete all other projects as assigned.

Requirements

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with at least 3 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of technical training and related experience.
  • Construction management experience is a plus.
  • Electrical field experience is preferred.

Required Skills & Abilities:

  • Understand the construction process from office to field.
  • Understand the estimating process; electrical estimating preferred. 
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, Procore.
  • Experience working with a scheduling platform preferred; P6, Planner, etc.
  • Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work with a team and independently.
  • Demonstrates strong attention to detail, time management abilities and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work on projects concurrently.
  • Ability to maneuver between office and jobsites.  
  • Valid Driver’s license

Special Considerations:

  • Airport and/or Underground experience a plus
  • Ability to be badged at airport

Salary Range:

  • $64,480.00/year - $90,000/year
