Job description

The Ovens/RTO Specialist will develop scopes of work and specifications for Ovens/RTO control modifications or new installations. A qualified candidate will direct and support Oven/RTO installation, debug and troubleshooting. The Oven/RTO Specialist will review electrical circuitry design and correct inaccuracies. This position will coordinate design, installation, validation and launch of conveyor system controls.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Chemistry or Manufacturing or other degree combined with equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of automotive paint manufacturing experience
  • Experience with Paint Oven/Regenerative Thermal Oxidation (RTO) processes
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel, PowerPoint and/or Google Suite
  • Ability to travel and work overtime as required

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Understanding of Oven/RTO control systems
  • Experience with Oven cure application software Exposure to pretreatment, e-coat and primer/powder paint processes
  • Knowledge of PFMEA Knowledge of World Class Manufacturing
  • Knowledge of Focused Problem Solving
  • Knowledge of Fiat Chrysler Systems (FIS, AVI, PFCS) a plus
