What are RSUs (Restricted Stock Units)?

Restricted Stock Units (RSUs) are a form of compensation offered by employers to employees in the form of company shares. Once vested, RSUs are considered income and are subject to taxation. Employees typically receive the shares or their cash equivalent after the vesting period, providing an incentive to remain with the company.
