Job Description
Water Treatment Technician (Commercial HVAC-R / Refrigeration) - RSCS
Refrigeration Systems Construction & Service (RSCS) is a full-service commercial and industrial refrigeration construction and service company with 25+ years in business and operations across 10 states in the western U.S. We are fast-paced, challenging, and collaborative-and we believe in the pursuit of service excellence, treating employees and customers like family, and continually improving.
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Water Treatment Technician with strong commercial HVAC-R / refrigeration experience. This is not an entry-level role-only candidates with 3-5+ years of hands-on experience in commercial HVAC-R/refrigeration and water treatment will be considered.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform water treatment service as it applies to commercial refrigeration and HVAC equipment (testing, monitoring, dosing/adjustments, documentation, and performance support)
  • Troubleshoot and service refrigeration and HVAC-R equipment across multiple brands and control systems
  • Replace mechanical seals on pumps and compressors
  • Perform motor alignments
  • Conduct leak detection and support repairs as needed
  • Diagnose and work with electrical systems and controls
  • Work independently in customer facilities and resolve issues when operators cannot
  • Communicate clearly with customers and internal teams; document work completed

  • 3+ years as a refrigeration/HVAC-R technician with water treatment experience
  • Strong understanding of refrigeration systems (commercial/industrial-not residential-only)
  • Comfortable with travel and participating in an on-call rotation
  • Clean driving record

We use a tiered hourly pay scale across RSCS and MRC for technician roles: Apprentice/Entry $20-$30, Technician (Early-Career) $30-$40, Journeyman (Mid-Level) $40-$50, and Senior/Field Supervisor $50-$65 (top end reserved for highest-level Senior Ammonia Technicians and Field Supervisors). Starting pay is based on verified experience, certifications, and job scope (including on-call/travel as applicable) and may vary by location due to local market and cost of living; hiring managers set the final starting rate within the appropriate tier.
