Job Description 

We’re looking for compassionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFTs) who are dedicated to supporting the emotional and mental well-being of individuals and families across all stages of life. In this role, you’ll provide psychosocial assessments, individual and group counseling, case management, and therapeutic interventions in an outpatient clinic setting. You’ll work with patients experiencing a wide range of behavioral health concerns, including stress management, substance use-related issues, family and relationship challenges, self-esteem concerns, and mental health conditions. 

This role requires strong clinical judgment, empathy, flexibility, and the ability to maintain composure during complex or crisis situations. We value collaboration, cultural sensitivity, professionalism, and patient-centered care, and we’re excited to welcome teammates who bring these strengths to our Behavioral Health team. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Provide psychosocial diagnosis, assessment, counseling, and psychotherapy services for pediatric through geriatric populations  

  • Conduct individual and group therapy sessions in an outpatient clinic setting  

  • Assist patients coping with mental health challenges, substance use-related concerns, family and marital issues, stress, and aging-related emotional health concerns  

  • Perform case management and patient advocacy services as appropriate  

  • Intervene in crisis situations and conduct preliminary evaluations for suicidality and homicidality concerns  

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including treatment plans, progress notes, diagnosis coding, and billing-related records within the electronic medical record system  

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to support coordinated patient care  

  • Manage multiple clinical responsibilities while maintaining professionalism and composure under stress  

Collaborative Teamwork 

This role involves working closely with our team to deliver effective, patient-focused behavioral health services while contributing to a supportive and collaborative work environment that prioritizes compassionate care and clinical excellence. 

Qualifications 

  • Licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in California required  

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience providing individual and group therapy services preferred  

  • Experience supervising unlicensed staff preferred  

  • Knowledge and experience working with co-occurring populations, including chronic health conditions, mental health conditions, and substance abuse  

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 2 months of hire and maintained thereafter  

  • Knowledge of electronic medical records and clinical documentation requirements  

  • Creative, flexible, compassionate, and culturally sensitive approach to patient care  

  • Ability to effectively read, write, understand, and communicate in the English language with excellent verbal communication skills  

  • Bilingual oral and written communication skills preferred  

  • Must be able to put into practice Service Excellence skills with our patients, families, coworkers, and community
