Job Description 

We’re looking for dedicated Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) who are passionate about delivering immediate, life-saving care and ensuring the safety and well-being of our community. In this role, you’ll assess emergency situations, provide vital care on-scene and during transport, communicate clearly with patients and team members, and help ensure emergency equipment is ready when needed. You’ll also document patient information, maintain ambulances and equipment, and contribute to a clean, organized work environment. Key Responsibilities 

  • Respond to emergency calls and provide medical care on-site and during transport 

  • Conduct patient assessments, obtain vital signs, and administer approved pre-hospital treatment 

  • Maintain and restock ambulances and emergency equipment 

  • Document patient interactions and complete required reports accurately and timely 

  • Follow all RRH, state, and DOT protocols and guidelines 

  • Attend required trainings and maintain current certifications 

  • Perform routine vehicle and equipment inspections and maintenance 

Collaborative Teamwork 

This role is part of a close-knit ambulance team that works closely with supervisors, field coordinators, dispatch personnel, and hospital staff to ensure timely emergency response, safe patient transport, and seamless patient handoffs. EMTs contribute to a supportive and collaborative environment focused on delivering exceptional patient care and service to our community. 

Qualifications 

  • Current California State EMT Certification 

  • CPR for BLS Provider Certification 

  • Valid California Driver’s License 

  • Medical Examiner’s Certification 

  • Ambulance Driver’s Certification 

  • DMV H6 Report meeting insurance standards 

  • Must be at least 21 years old 

  • Must pass pre-employment physical and drug screen 

  • Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate effectively in the English language 

  • Strong physical fitness, including the ability to lift up to 250 pounds infrequently and 150 pounds frequently 

  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions 

  • Excellent judgment, communication, and interpersonal skills 

  • Calm, self-motivated, and adaptable in high-stress situations 

  • Must be able to put into practice Service Excellence skills with patients, families, coworkers, and the community
