As a RPG Developer, you will be part of the Information Technology department supporting various business units. Job Title: RPG Developer

Location: Brookfield, Wisconsin

What's the Job?

  • Perform system design, development, and support for AS400 applications using RPG, RPGLE, COBOL, CL, and SQL programming languages.
  • Utilize AS400-based software tools such as RLU, SDA, SEU, Spoolflex, and Query Manager to enhance application functionality.
  • Design, develop, and support processes that interact with AS400 applications, including web-based applications and add-ons.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve application performance, creating comprehensive support documentation.
  • Collaborate with departments such as Underwriting, Claims, and Finance to support current systems and design new enhancements and business initiatives.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, MIS, CIS, Engineering, or equivalent education and experience.
  • At least five years of experience in software engineering within an AS400 environment, proficient in RPG, COBOL, CL, and SQL.

  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to maintain accurate records and exercise discretion with confidential information.
