Position Overview

The Route Manager is responsible for managing an established customer route, including inventory, product delivery, customer stock levels, invoicing, and exceptional customer service.

You will take ownership of the daily operation and performance of your route, serving as the primary point of contact for your customers and ensuring they receive the products and service they need. This role combines customer relationship management, inventory management, delivery operations, route planning, and hands-on problem solving.

What You'll Do

• Manage inventory at customer locations and maintain appropriate stock levels
• Deliver products to customer facilities safely and accurately
• Stock shelves and organize inventory at customer sites
• Generate invoices and process customer transactions
• Track inventory levels and communicate replenishment needs
• Plan and manage daily route activities to ensure efficient, consistent customer service
• Maintain accurate records and documentation
• Operate company vehicles safely and professionally
• Support warehouse operations as needed
• Build positive relationships with customers through consistent service and communication
• Take ownership of special projects and additional responsibilities based on business needs

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous route management, customer service, delivery, inventory, warehouse, or sales experience preferred
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Ability to lift and move 50 pounds regularly
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Basic computer and mobile device proficiency
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively

Work Environment

• Daily interaction with customers and teammates

This is a physically active role that requires frequent lifting, driving, walking, and standing throughout the day.
