What are the typical daily responsibilities of a Router in a manufacturing or production environment?

As a Router in a manufacturing or production setting, your typical day involves reviewing work orders, determining the most efficient routing of materials or job tasks, and entering information into scheduling systems. You coordinate with production supervisors, workers, and sometimes shipping or quality assurance teams to ensure all steps in the process are completed on time and according to specifications. Attention to detail is crucial, as mistakes in routing can cause delays or impact the quality of finished products. Routers also track the progress of orders, resolve scheduling conflicts, and may provide input to improve workflow efficiency over time.

What job makes $10,000 a month without a degree?

A router, as a networking professional, can earn $10,000 or more per month with extensive experience, certifications like Cisco CCNP or CCIE, and strong technical skills. What is a Router job?

A Router is responsible for organizing and directing shipments, deliveries, or services efficiently. They plan routes, assign tasks, and ensure timely delivery by coordinating with drivers, dispatchers, or logistics teams. A router job typically involves managing network traffic and security, which may not directly generate income from home. To earn $2000 weekly, individuals often need to combine multiple freelance or remote roles, develop specialized skills, or obtain certifications in networking or IT. Building a client base or working for companies with high-paying remote positions can also help reach this income level.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in the Router position, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Router, you need precise attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a solid understanding of production processes, often supported by a high school diploma or vocational training. Familiarity with production scheduling software, job tracking systems, and sometimes blueprint reading is typically required. Clear communication, time management, and teamwork are valuable soft skills that help routers coordinate efficiently with multiple departments. These abilities ensure accurate routing of work orders, timely completion of jobs, and smooth workflow across manufacturing or production operations.

Job description

Axiom
Axiom Custom Products is a custom manufacturer and designer servicing the creative, events, retail, and construction industries. We blend old and new manufacturing technologies with decades of experience to deliver unmatched quality.
We're Hiring: Head of Facilities
Behind every smooth-running operation is someone who keeps the lights on, the equipment humming, and the environment safe and efficient. That someone could be you.
We're looking for a Head of Facilities who isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves and take ownership of everything from building systems to manufacturing infrastructure. With over five years of experience in a similar role, you're no stranger to the inner workings of a busy shop, you know what it takes to keep things running, and you do it with confidence and care.
You'll be the go-to person for maintaining and repairing equipment, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring that every piece of our shop is functioning just as it should. Your understanding of safety standards, whether it's OSHA, local, or state requirements, means you've not only worked within regulations but have taken pride in building and maintaining programs that keep people safe.
But you're more than just technically skilled. You're proactive, organized, a clear communicator, and comfortable using maintenance software to keep everything documented and on track. Whether you're leading a small team or running a project from the ground up, you bring structure, energy, and follow-through.
You thrive in fast-paced environments where no two days are exactly the same. Challenges don't rattle you, they motivate you. And while you can take charge when needed, you're also a true collaborator and mentor who knows the value of teamwork.
This is more than a maintenance role, it's a chance to make a lasting impact on the people, processes, and spaces that power our company. If you're ready to bring your expertise to a place where it will be noticed and valued, we'd love to hear from you.
How We Work
Our 75,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility is a dynamic and ever-changing environment where adaptability is key. Our team operates collaboratively and we expect all team members to be proactive problem-solvers. • Maintain Shop Equipment & Infrastructure (Heavy Focus): Take full ownership of all production equipment, machinery, and shop systems, from CNC routers and lasers to our compressed air and dust collection systems down to hand tools. You'll develop and track preventive maintenance schedules, perform inspections, and coordinate repairs to minimize downtime
  • Lead Safety & Regulatory Compliance: Serve as the company's lead for all EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) efforts. You'll ensure compliance with OSHA and all local, state, and insurance requirements, manage safety programs, training, and emergency preparedness
  • Manage the Facilities Team & Projects: Lead and mentor a two person team. You'll plan, prioritize, and supervise all facilities-related projects, ensuring they are completed on schedule and with minimal disruption to the shop
  • Manage Vendors: Oversee all facility-related vendor relationships and service contracts. You'll be responsible for purchasing specialty equipment, tooling, consumables, and contractor services
  • Oversee Fleet Management: Maintain our company vehicles and trailers, including service schedules, repairs, and insurance documentation. You'll also be responsible for managing driver training and approvals
