Requirements
Key Skills:
  • Operate manual or CNC routers to cut, trim and shape materials
  • Read and interpret blueprints, routing instructions, and measurements
  • Set up tools, fixtures, and materials for each job
  • Ensure accuracy and quality of cuts while minimizing waste
  • Perform routine maintenance and adjustments on router machines
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work area
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Experience
  • Previous experience as a router operator in a manufacturing or fabrication setting is preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and measurements
  • Knowledge of different materials and router bit selection
  • Ability to differentiate materials, aluminum, steel, stainless steel, and types of plastic
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
