Overview

The Route Sales Manager is responsible for collecting cash proceeds from vending and gaming machines, replenishing ATM machines, etc. located in various establishments in a route. This role requires attention to detail, reliability, and a commitment to accuracy in handling and accounting for cash transactions. Route Sales Managers play a vital role in ensuring the efficient operation of machines while upholding security protocols and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities
  • Regularly visits designated locations to collect cash proceeds from vending machines and gaming machines and replenish ATM machines following predetermined schedules, routes and inventory levels; monitor cash levels in ATMs and adjusts replenishment amounts based on usage patterns and forecasted demand.
  • Accurately counts cash collections and reconciles amounts with sales records or machine transactions to ensure proper accounting and accountability.
  • Adheres to strict security protocols when handling cash, including proper verification, handling, and transportation procedures to minimize the risk of theft or loss.
  • Operates company vehicles to designated locations along assigned routes.
  • Efficiently plans and navigates routes to optimize time and fuel consumption.
  • Adheres to all traffic laws and company safety regulations to ensure a safe driving environment for yourself and others.
  • Provides exceptional customer service by maintaining professional conduct during interactions with clients and ensuring accurate and timely servicing/collection.
  • Performs routine maintenance tasks on machines, such as cleaning, minor repairs, and troubleshooting basic technical issues to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Addresses any service-related problems or discrepancies in a proactive and efficient manner, seeks solutions to minimize disruptions.
  • Communicates effectively with supervisors, colleagues, and other stakeholders to report any discrepancies, operational issues, or equipment malfunctions encountered during route collection and equipment servicing.
  • Completes documentation accurately and promptly, including invoices, receipts, and other relevant documents. Responsible to answer weekend calls on a rotational basis.
  • Answers phones in a courteous and friendly manner.
  • Completes rental agreements for Penske truck rentals timely and accurately.
  • Assists in managing storage units by renting units out to customers, collecting rent payments, locking out past due units and seizing and coordinating auctions for past due units with the Office Manager.
  • Maintains cleanliness, organization, safety and security of the office.
  • Provides friendly and competent customer service.
  • Reports for work in a timely manner when scheduled.

 

Additional Job Duties:

  • Assists with other duties, as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications

Education and/or Experience (include certs or licenses needed):

  • Minimum of six months maintenance experience is required. 

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Must have an acceptable driving record.
  • Must be able to pass a financial background check through banking institution for ATM responsibilities and Vault access.
  • Previous experience in cash handling, banking, or ATM servicing preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in counting and recording cash transactions.
  • Knowledge of security protocols and procedures related to cash handling.
  • Must have strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Must be knowledgeable with computers.
  • Must display use of good judgment and demonstrate leadership qualities.
  • Must be able to operate under minimal supervision.
  • Must conduct self in a professional and respectful manner at all times.
  • Must be flexible with the ability to adapt to change when required.
  • Must have reliable transportation and phone.
  • Must be able to communicate in English. - IF APPLICABLE
  • Able and willing to deliver friendly, courteous, and prompt customer service.
  • Able and willing to work cooperatively with other team members.
