Job description

SUMMARY

Good Boy Vodka is immediately looking for qualified candidates to represent the brand. This position is designed to achieve maximum sales growth in your region, focusing on retail and onโ€‘premise customers. The successful Area Sales Manager will be challenged to meet or exceed assigned sales goals. The position requires the ability to identify and respond to opportunities that build and enhance brand equity in the market in the long term, as well as maximize sales in the short term. This position must uphold the integrity of the company by following its guidelines and meeting its expectations, goals and mission. Area Sales Manager will report to assigned Regional Sales Director and will work in tandem to achieve sales and distribution goals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Secure incremental sales by being in the trade 5 days a week
  • Utilize company software to document all sales/account activities
  • Partner with GBV Leadership and distributor/wholesaler partners to develop relationships and build the business within the territory
  • Work directly with liquor managers and store directors to maximize exposure of GBV portfolio in select markets
  • Manage depletion and distribution objectives for the retail/ on premise channels.
  • Ensure 100% compliance with authorized planners and promotions developed by the various chain headquarters
  • Weekly/ Monthly reporting of execution of key measures of the business
  • Perform sales support functions to include the use of current point of sale marketing materials and oversight of the shelf space in the specified accounts
  • Maintain continuous communication with the Chain Sales Manager regarding changes in buyer preferences, out of stock situations and retail changes
  • Introduce new products, reinforce established volume and display activity, ensure vintage rotation/shelf and cold box placement, and monitor inโ€‘store promotion results
  • Stay abreast of business/market conditions (to include building rapport with other vendors), recognize and promote new product and display opportunities within each account and maintain the necessary territory records and administration
  • Work flexible hours which include some evenings and weekends
  • Perform other workโ€‘related duties and special projects as assigned
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Preferred 5 or more years of sales experience in the alcoholic beverage industry with knowledge and passion for both commercial and premium products in a retail environment
  • Associate degree and/or equivalent related experience such as Distributor/ Wholesaler management and merchandiser/route sales experience
  • Well organized with ability to work both independently and within team environment
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral
  • Competitive with a will to want to win
  • Ability to work and succeed in dynamic entrepreneurial environment
  • Possess a dependable vehicle, valid driver's license, proof of state car registration and insurance, and an acceptable driving record
  • Understanding of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to lift and carry a 25+ pound case of product on a repetitive basis
  • Ability to travel within the territory up to 90% of the time, defined as time out of office visiting accounts
  • Ability to pull, push, kneel, bend
