Job description

Responsibilities:

Culligan (Consolidated Water Group) is seeking a route driver to join our team. The Route Driver performs deliveries along a specific route and handles invoicing and collections for product delivered. Additionally, drivers are expected to deliver a high degree of service that exceeds the expectations of customers.

Specific Job Function:

  • Deliver water treatment products (including salt, filters, bottled water, and chemicals) to homes and businesses in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Prepare, process, and execute delivery orders in addition to collecting related monies and issuing invoices.
  • Handle customer issues, complaints and problems in a courteous and prompt manner while exhibiting an overall customer –focused style of service.
  • Operate carts, dollies, forklifts, lift gates and hand trucks.
  • Follow all safety protocols and company regulations.
  • Maintain company vehicles and equipment.
  • After completing route and taking care of daily duties of cleaning out truck and putting items away, check with manager for additional tasks.
  • Complete any other responsibilities as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 1-3 years of route experience preferred.
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to follow protocols.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Maintain a good driving record and a valid driver’s license (in some cases CDL).
  • Navigate throughout local area.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Please note that employees who are offered a position are subject to a drug screen and a background check in accordance with state and Federal laws at time of hire.

Work Location:

  • Based at our LaGrange, GA office, with occasional travel to nearby Culligan branches as required.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Valid driver’s license
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Familiarity with the city area where duties will be performed
  • Must be available to work Monday - Friday
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal/written)
  • Please note, candidates offered a position must undergo a DOT physical (at the time of hire and every two years thereafter), a drug screen, and a background check in line with state and Federal laws.
  • Plumbing or maintenance skills preferred but not required 
  • Face-to-face customer service
