These roles are typically designed for early-career professionals or recent graduates, allowing them to develop diverse skills, build networks, and understand different aspects of a business. By working on multiple projects, Rotational Project Managers can identify their strengths and interests, making them well-prepared for future leadership or specialized project management roles. These positions often serve as a stepping stone to more permanent or advanced project management opportunities.

How does a rotational project manager balance learning across departments while managing project deliverables?

As a Rotational Project Manager, you’ll rotate between different departments—such as operations, IT, and marketing—over a set period, gaining exposure to diverse projects and teams. Tired of Being Just Another Name on a Job Site Instead of the Person Who Actually Closes and Delivers?
If you're the person who can walk into a client's worst day and turn it into a 5-star experience... the one who closes with confidence, documents with precision, and fights for the client all the way through the insurance process - but you're tired of disorganized companies, empty growth promises, and roles that don't reward you for the revenue you actually bring in, keep reading.
Who This Is For:
  • A natural closer with a strong sales acumen and a track record to back it up.
  • Someone who takes extreme ownership of a project from first call to final invoice - no passing the buck.
  • A relationship-builder who earns trust fast and turns stressed-out clients into loyal, 5-star reviewers.
  • Someone technically sharp enough to speak the language of restoration, insurance, and construction with confidence.
  • A collaborator who lifts up other Project Managers instead of competing with them.
  • Someone who thrives in a start-up mentality environment - metrics-driven, growth-focused, and never satisfied with "good enough."

What This Role Really Looks Like:
This is a Project Manager role with United Water Restoration Group (UWRG) - a property damage mitigation industry disruptor providing 24/7/365 restorative solutions for water, fire, mold, asbestos, and other hazardous material damage.
For more than 6 years, our independently owned Long Island, NY organization has grown to serve homeowners, businesses, and property managers across the island - and we're a five-time winner of "Best Restoration Specialist" on Long Island.
You'll own all stages of a project from lead conversion through final invoicing, including:
Conversion of Job Leads into Memorable 5-Star Experiences
  • Responding promptly to urgent property damage calls, ensuring 24/7 availability for clients.
  • Providing solutions based on client needs and long-term goals.
  • Ensuring client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle, creating lasting impressions that turn into 5-star reviews.

Extreme Ownership for Crushing Revenue Goals
  • Maintaining detailed, real-time documentation of project scope, progress, and client interactions.
  • Maximizing opportunities for all phases of work (contents, asbestos abatement, rebuilds, etc.) that add real value for the client.
  • Managing client and stakeholder expectations while ensuring projects are delivered on target.
  • Preparing, justifying, and defending invoices with insurance carriers while advocating for clients and stakeholders.

Building a Culture of Effective & Positive Collaboration
  • Providing guidance and expertise to fellow Project Managers when needed.
  • Promoting collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning across the organization.

If you need constant hand-holding or shy away from closing deals and defending invoices, this isn't for you. If you're driven, detail-obsessed, and genuinely thrive on delivering a 5-star client experience while hitting revenue goals, you'll thrive here!
What You Get Here (That You Don't Get Everywhere Else)
  • A team culture built on accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning - not office politics.
  • Real ownership of your projects and your client relationships from start to finish.
  • A company with a start-up mentality and a track record of real, measurable growth.
  • Leadership that values results and metrics as much as reputation and client experience.

Must Haves:
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with clients, stakeholders, team members, and partners.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects with urgency under tight deadlines.
  • Availability to respond to urgent situations outside standard business hours (on-call rotation required).
  • Incredible selling ability reflected in a strong closing ratio.
  • 3+ years of project management experience, preferably in restoration, construction, or a related industry.
  • Strong knowledge of restoration processes, insurance claims handling, and industry standards.
  • Exceptional organizational and documentation skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation 24/7.
  • Safety-first mindset; OSHA certification preferred.
  • IICRC WRT & FSRT Certifications, or willingness to get.
  • NYS DOL Mold Supervisor License, or willingness to get.
  • Tech-savvy with email, mobile apps, computers, tablets, and smartphones.
  • Xactimate software experience preferred.

What Success Looks Like:
  • Leads convert into signed projects at a strong closing ratio.
  • Clients consistently leave 5-star reviews and refer new business.
  • Projects are documented thoroughly and delivered on target, phase by phase.
  • Invoices are accurately prepared, justified, and successfully defended with insurance carriers.

Salary: $68,000 - $75,000 annually, commensurate with experience ( + bonuses and commission)
