Rotational Programs usually consist of several short-term assignments (often 6-12 months each) across different departments or business units within an organization. This structure allows participants to gain hands-on experience, build a wide professional network, and develop a well-rounded understanding of the company’s operations. Throughout the program, you'll often have mentorship, regular performance feedback, and opportunities to participate in specialized training sessions. This exposure not only strengthens your core skills but also helps you discover which areas best match your interests and strengths, positioning you for future leadership or specialized roles within the company.

What is a Rotational Programs job?

A Rotational Program is a structured, multi-department experience designed to develop early-career professionals by exposing them to various roles within a company. Participants rotate through different functions or business units over a set period, typically 1-3 years, gaining diverse skills and industry knowledge. These programs help employees build a strong foundation, expand their network, and determine the best career path within the organization.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in the Rotational Programs position, and why are they important?

Job description

For Physician Assistant/Associate Student Clinical Rotations in CT, DC, GA, IL, MD, MN, NC, NE, NJ, NV, OH, RI, SC, TN, TX

This clinical rotation prepares Physician Associate students for ambulatory care settings. MinuteClinic accomplishes this goal by not only meeting the academic standards of the school, but by providing students with a well-rounded experience that includes specialized online training, patient interaction, visibility to our EMR and the opportunity to work in a new and exciting model of health care. Our preceptors have a passion for teaching and sharing their knowledge. All of our providers have exceptional clinical skills and are experts in the operational skills required to run their own clinic. MinuteClinic's student clinical program offers the most unique experience available, because you are doing more than just enhancing your clinical skills: Practical education including clinic operations, public relations, marketing, insurance procedures, and use of evidence based guidelines. Students will gain exposure in an ambulatory care setting and develop an understanding of how these clinics fit into the current structure of health care delivery. You'll develop an understanding of how our corporate office relates to and supports our clinical practice. MinuteClinic is open 7 days a week and our providers' schedules are compressed, so clinical days can vary from week-to-week. Clinic locations may also vary depending on schedule of your assigned preceptor.

Required Qualifications:

To participate, you must be enrolled in a Physician Associate program that already has an executed Affiliation Agreement with MinuteClinic. PA students are only eligible for clinical rotations in the states in which we currently hire PAs. We will also verify with your program faculty that you are eligible for a clinical rotation at MinuteClinic. If your program deems you as eligible for consideration, you will be considered for placement.

COVID Vaccine Required:

COVID Requirements:

CVS Health requires certain colleagues to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (including any booster shots if required), where allowable under the law, unless they are approved for a reasonable accommodation based on disability, medical condition, religious belief, or other legally recognized reasons that prevents them from being vaccinated.

You are required to have received at least one COVID-19 shot prior to your first day of employment and to provide proof of your vaccination status or apply for a reasonable accommodation within the first 10 days of your employment. Please note that in some states and roles, you may be required to provide proof of full vaccination or an approved reasonable accommodation before you can begin to actively work.

Preferred Qualifications:

IMPORTANT NOTE - MinuteClinic can only accept PA clinical rotation requests in the following states: CT, DC, GA, IL, MD, MN, NC, NE, NJ, NV, OH, RI, SC, TN, and TX.

This role is part of an unpaid clinical student program and is not eligible for pay or benefits.
