Job description

As the Production Supervisor (Rotational Schedule), you will be responsible for one of four rotating supervisory positions in the Teslin Department and will oversee a team of 8-10 hourly Operators in a unionized environment. You will provide leadership across day, back, weekend, and holiday shifts to ensure operational goals are met in Safety, Productivity, Quality, Delivery, and Environmental Compliance.
The Supervisor manages daily operations, supports operator development, and ensures adherence to company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry's best practices. You will report directly to the Teslin Operations Manager, and is located onsite at our Barberton, OH plant.

Responsibilities:
  • Communicate company and facility updates to employees and Lead Tier 1 Meetings
  • Lead Safe Work permits, Lock Out / Tag Out (LOTO), and safety interventions.
  • Resolve equipment high-risk issues and ergonomic improvements.
  • Maintain accurate records, update procedures, complete logbook communication, and promote operator communication and documentation.
  • Improve 5S/Housekeeping programs to maintain an organized, safe workplace
  • Collaborate with maintenance and engineering on outage scheduling and equipment preparation.
  • Order supplies as needed.

Qualifications:
  • High School degree required; associate's degree in business, Human Resources, Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of demonstrated supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Knowledge of safety standards, production processes, and quality management systems.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
