Summary:
Under the direction of the Sales Vice President, the Sales Professional is responsible for developing strategic account plans and forecasts, maintaining strong internal and external communication, and proactively resolving customer issues. This role focuses on growing and managing a designated sales territory, identifying new business opportunities, understanding customer goals and supply chain objectives, and delivering value-driven solutions. The Sales Professional is expected to build relationships with key decision-makers, consistently exceed sales targets, and provide regular cost-savings reports.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop strategic plans and accurate forecasts for assigned accounts
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams and external customers, proactively resolving complex issues
  • Develop and manage the assigned sales territory
  • Grow and maintain both new and existing customer accounts
  • Stay current on industry trends and product knowledge related to pumps, compressors, and blowers
  • Identify new sales and service opportunities within the territory
  • Provide solutions to customer challenges using company products (pumps, compressors, and blowers)
  • Understand customer objectives, including operational and supply chain initiatives, and proactively offer solutions
  • Build and expand relationships with key decision-makers within customer organizations
  • Demonstrate a customer-focused approach with a proven track record of exceeding sales goals and delivering cost savings
  • Prepare and present routine cost-savings reports, with customer validation when possible
  • Maintain strong process discipline and organizational practices
  • Provide monthly DXP reports for key accounts, highlighting service issues, competitive activity, customer initiatives, and cost savings

Qualifications include, but are not limited to:

  • Minimum of 2 years of outside sales experience in industrial products, preferably pumps, compressors, and blowers, or related experience
  • Strong customer service mindset
  • Proficient in computer applications
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience developing proposals and delivering solutions
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Proven ability to build and maintain long-term customer relationships, including repeat and add-on business
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record per company guidelines
