Job description

Summary:
Rosen Hotels & Resorts' Hospitality Leader Internship Program is designated for undergraduate students at UCF's Rosen College of Hospitality. It delivers an in-depth understanding of hotel operations through practical experience. The program is led by a project manager who will serve as the point of contact for all interns.
The program includes a one-week onboarding experience comprised of orientation, property tours, learning and development opportunities, and ongoing support. The remaining weeks are focused on department rotations, professional development opportunities, and opportunities to shadow specific departments of interest. Interns will also take part in some of the engagement activities (if applicable). During the final week, students may be required to present to a panel of Rosen Hotels leaders on their overall experience and acquired skills.
Job Requirements:
  • This is an on-call (ONC) position. Interns may have the opportunity to work up to 40 hours per week, based on availability and operational needs.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to include some weekends and holidays.
  • Desire and ability to work with others collaboratively.
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and eagerness to learn.
  • Exceptional guest service skills.
  • Complies with the company's drug-free and tobacco/nicotine-free policy.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Experience/Qualifications:
  • Ability to lift- up to 25 lbs. consistently and 50 lbs. infrequently
  • Must be able to legally work in the USA.

Education and Certification(s)/License(s):
  • Must be a student enrolled at the Rosen College pursuing an undergraduate degree in hospitality or a related field.
