Quality Control Technician I–III – Electromechanical & Automation Manufacturing
Sherwood, OR
Monday–Friday | 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
$18.00–$31.00/hour DOE + Benefits

We are seeking detail-oriented Quality Control Technicians (Levels I–III) to support quality assurance, inspection, testing, and continuous improvement efforts within a fast-growing automation and electromechanical manufacturing environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with manufacturing, quality, assembly, electromechanical, or cable/wire harness experience who enjoy working in a precision-focused, team-oriented environment.
Position Overview
The Quality Control Technician supports all aspects of quality inspection and documentation throughout the manufacturing process. Responsibilities include inspecting electromechanical assemblies, verifying compliance with engineering specifications, maintaining quality records, supporting process improvements, and collaborating with engineering and production teams.
Depending on experience level, technicians may perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections, calibration tracking, documentation control, root cause investigations, and corrective action support.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Inspection & Testing
Perform visual and dimensional inspections of electromechanical assemblies and finished products
Verify products meet customer specifications, engineering drawings, and quality requirements
Inspect cable assemblies and wire harnesses in accordance with IPC-620 standards
Utilize inspection tools including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and measuring equipment
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, BOMs, ANSI Y14.5 drawings, and GD&T requirements
Document inspection results and identify non-conforming products
Support statistical sampling and quality data collection
Monitor manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with quality standards
Documentation & Process Support
Develop and maintain work instructions, SOPs, inspection checklists, and technical documentation
Capture assembly photos and create clear manufacturing documentation
Maintain records related to inspections, calibration schedules, redlines, and revision control
Support configuration management and document updates
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve product quality and manufacturing processes
Continuous Improvement
Participate in root cause investigations and corrective/preventive action activities (CAPA)
Analyze quality trends and support continuous improvement initiatives
Participate in Lean manufacturing and 5S activities
Assist with training and mentoring technicians and production staff
Support troubleshooting and production build activities as needed
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required
0–5+ years of quality inspection, quality technician, or manufacturing experience depending on level
Experience in manufacturing, assembly, electromechanical, or production environments preferred
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Basic computer proficiency including Microsoft Office
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with electromechanical assembly or cable/wire harness manufacturing
Familiarity with IPC-620 standards
Understanding of GD&T and dimensional inspection methods
Root cause analysis and corrective action experience
Calibration tracking and inspection equipment maintenance experience
Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma exposure
Experience writing work instructions or technical documentation
