Job description

Job Summary:
Axos Bank is a digital-first financial institution that provides innovative financial tools and services. The Commercial Lending Systems Administrator supports and optimizes commercial lending platforms, working closely with business users, IT teams, and vendors to resolve system issues and maintain platform stability.
Responsibilities:
• Own intake, triage, and prioritization of bugs and system issues across commercial lending platforms (e.g., LoanIQ, nCino, Cash Suite, DataScan, Moody’s ABS)
• Partner with business units to understand reported issues, validate impact, and determine root cause
• Perform detailed root cause analysis (RCA) and identify recurring themes and systemic gaps
• Configure systems where appropriate (within approved access) to resolve issues or implement improvements
• Collaborate with IT, vendors, and platform teams to drive resolution of defects and enhancements
• Translate business process gaps into clear functional requirements and defect documentation
• Track issues through resolution, ensuring timely communication and stakeholder alignment
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls, and system usage based on issue trends
• Serve as a subject matter expert for commercial lending workflows and platform behavior
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor's degree
• 3+ years of experience in business systems analysis, production support, or platform operations within financial services
• Strong experience supporting commercial lending systems (LoanIQ, nCino, or similar platforms strongly preferred)
• Deep understanding of commercial lending processes, workflows, and data
• Proven ability to conduct root cause analysis and synthesize complex issues into actionable insights
• Experience working with IT teams and vendors to resolve production issues
• Comfort operating with system configuration access (non‑developer role)
• Excellent critical thinking, problem‑solving, and communication skills
